Ramirez was killed during a video shoot for Busta’s “Touch It” remix. Police believe the shooting stemmed from a heated argument that took place between Tony Yayo and Swizz Beatz, the song’s producer. Though the shots weren’t meant for Ramirez, reports say he was gunned down when attempting to grab the shooter’s gun. According to reports, the unknown gunman fled the scene in Yayo’s car.

Thus far, Yayo and Busta have refused to talk and authorities have become frustrated with the lack of cooperating witnesses. Meanwhile, Ramirez’s friends and family gathered at the Church of the Ascension in New York City for his funeral Friday.

Busta made a brief appearance at Ramirez’s second wake this past Thursday. Though Busta reportedly told the family he would help support Ramirez’s children and pay for the funeral’s expenses, the animated rapper was nowhere to be seen during the service.

“[Busta] was very sincere,” Rosie Rodriguez, Ramirez’s sister, told Newsday. “He said all the beautiful things that we already knew, but said it in more detail.”
