Don P (born Donnell Prince) is currently being held at the Dekalb County Jail after being charged with rape and two counts of aggravated sodomy. He turned himself in to authorities last Monday (January 30) and may have a bond hearing as early as today.

Police allege that the rape took place at a December 16 gathering of eight to ten people, held at the Woodcrest Walk Apartment complex in Lithonia, GA, on the outskirts of Atlanta. According to Dekalb County Police Officer Corey Hughes, 23-year-old Prince and another man brought a 16-year-old into a bedroom where the incident occurred.

Afterward, the girl left the apartment with a friend then called the authorities. By the time police arrived most of the group had left, Hughes said. Police are still looking for the second man involved.

Keith Adams, Don P’s attorney, disputed the police account, telling The Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the girl was not a minor, there was more than one other person in the room at the time and also said the sex was consensual. Adams added that there were several people in the apartment that night and “none of them will corroborate what they [the police] say had occurred.”
