24: Where are you from?

Vanessa: I’m originally from the Maine Line of Philly. I
currently live in Juno Beach, South Florida.

24: What’s your nationality?

Vanessa: I’m the typical African American girl… all mixed
up. My dad is Jamaican and my mom is mixed with Creole, Irish, and
Spanish.

24: How long have you been modeling?

Vanessa: I’ve been modeling on and off for more than 10
years! I go to do something else and modeling keeps pulling me back.

24: What inspired you to be a model?

Vanessa: It really just started as another activity to keep
me out of trouble since I started modeling when I was young, but I
grew to like it more than dancing and playing the guitar.

24: What projects have you already worked on?

Vanessa: Most of my experience is in music videos and print.
My most recent video is Mike Jones featuring Hurricane Chris, “Drop and
Gimmie 50.”

24: Which was your favorite photo shoot?

Vanessa: I loved my shoot with King Magazine. The staff over
there rocks! From the moment I got there till I left, they were all so sweet
and positive. I love good energy on a set.

24: What is the biggest misconception about you?

Vanessa: I know many people see my pictures and expect me to
be a diva or bitch. Don’t get me wrong, I can be if I need to. But usually I’m
pretty reserved. I zone out on my iPod and stay out the gossip and drama and
always show love to the other girls I work with and that usually surprises
people.

24: What do you like most about being a model?

Vanessa: I like being paid to travel. I love traveling! It’s
my passion and if a certain period of time goes by and I haven’t been somewhere
new, I get antsy. The only drawback sometimes is if I get booked to a gig with
no downtime. There are a few places I’ve been where I only got to see the airport,
hotel, and set and not much else. So unless I get at least a day to be a tourist,
it doesn’t count.

24: What do you dislike about being a model?

Vanessa: At times you can be exposed to a lot of ageist,
sexist, and racist clients. You have to have a thick skin.

24: Since this is the ice cream parlor, what flavor of ice cream would you be and why?

Vanessa: I would be vanilla bean. It’s simple, refreshing
and not overpowering. You can jazz it up, or just take it like it is. And
no other dessert is complete without it on the side.

24: What is the sexiest outfit you own?

Vanessa: My skin.

24: For all the curious guys reading, are you single?

Vanessa: I am single, but taken. Sorry guys.

24: What is the sexiest thing you did for a current or former boyfriend?

Vanessa: You’d have to ask him. Guys think so different from
us. What I think is being sexy might get his attention. But usually the things
we (girls) do without even thinking are the sexy moments guys remember.

24: What’s the most romantic thing a man has done for you?

Vanessa: I had a guy fly a sky banner with a message for me.
You know the ones where the plane flies over the beach? It was so sweet and a
little embarrassing.

24: What projects are you currently working on?

Vanessa: Right now I’m working with a partner to produce my
own show. I’m really excited about it. I can’t really give more info right now
but you will definitely have to follow up with me about it.

24: How can fans get in contact with you?

Vanessa: I have a myspace page that I personally maintain, www.myspace.com/vanessaveasley
 I also have a website, www.vanessaveasley.com

24: Any last words?

Vanessa: I just want everyone to know how much I appreciate
the love and support and kind words of encouragement that is sent to me. It
means a lot when people that don’t even know me wish me well. Check back with
me because the best is yet to come!
