Last night was a great night for the Miami Heat who were able to outscore the Washington Wizards 90-76.

The Miami Heat maintained thier first place in the Southeast Division. For the first time in 10years, The Heat started the season 6-1 which is the 2nd time in franchise history.

Wade scored 41 points, 29 of them in the second half. Michael Beasley scored 15 points and Mario Chalmers helped with 13, including a 3-point shot that gave Miami a eight point lead with 1:47 remaining. Also, Carlos Arroyo added 10 points for Miami.

Miami was down 49-41 at halftime but second half was a whole different ball game. After the game, Wade said, “We didn’t want to lose this game. When you’ve got a team that’s not playing as well and in disarray, you’ve got to take advantage of it.”

Last Wednesday against the Wizards, was the first time Wade was able to put up 40 points this season, with last night being the second time.

Gilbert Arenas led the Wizards with 21 points, but had a career-high 12 turnovers. Butler scored 19 for Washington, and both Brandon Haywoodwhich and Andray Blatche got double-doubles. Haywood with 13 points, 11 rebounds and Blatche scored 13 points, with 10 rebounds.

This Thursday, the Heat face LeBron James, Shaquille O’Neal and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
