Thursday night you could sense the competitiveness between Lebron James and Dwayne Wade as they battled back and forth on the court.

Although Wade tied his franchise record of scoring at least 20 points for the 21st consecutive time, he wasn’t able to cut the 11-point deficit in the fourth quarter, and the Cleveland Cavaliers beat the Miami Heat 111-104.

Dwayne Wade scored 36 points and made a poster-worthy dunk over 6-foot-11 Anderson Varejao.

Lebron commented on the dunk saying, “It was great, probably top 10 all-time, that was an unbelievable play by a great player.” Michael Beasley scored a season-high 24 points for the Heat.

James ended with 34 points and 7 assists and also scored Cleveland’s last eight points in the last 2:42. Mo Williams finished with five 3-pointers and contributed with 25 points and J.J. Hickson had a career-high 18 points for the Cavs.

After the game Wade said, “I like playing against LeBron more than anybody else in the league, he brings out the best in me, and I bring out the best in him.”

Michael Jordan was present for the game and sat next to Heat president Pat Riley. Also at the game was Scottie Pippen.
