In the latest installment of the 400 Club’s infamous “In The Studio” performance series, the elite promotional company gave Miami a special treat by inviting RocNation’s budding star, J.Cole for an unforgettable evening! Mostly known for his spit fire verse on Jay-Z’s “A Star Is Born” [off of the “Blueprint 3”], the Fayetteville, North Carolina native has been creating a very big buzz in the hip hop community, mostly for his intelligent yet relatable rhymes and all star collaborations such as “Just Begun” with Talib Kweli, Jay Electronica and Mos Def as well as “Gladiators” with B.O.B. The show began with Cole introducing himself to a packed house as “The latest addition to the ROC..” and going on to say, “It’s ok if you don’t know me yet, but you have to know this one!”. Suddenly through the speakers, DJ Affect drops the beat to his break out single “WHO DAT” and the crowd went wild. Cole then went into his verse from the aforementioned “A Star Is Born” and the lead single from his latest mixtape, “The Warm Up”; a soulful rendition of “Lights Please”. It was quite the show and definitely a good look for Cole, RocNation and the 400 Club!
