It’s been two years since news shook the entire world that R&B superstar Chris Brown assaulted his once girlfriend R&B songstress Rihanna. After so many court appearances and apologies, Brown is just trying to move past the whole ensemble and continue on with his life.

Brown’s new album is set for release and he has already been receiving good responses, which shows that the fans and the public are actually ready for his return. He recently spoke with Page Six Magazine about the incident that occurred in February of 2009, an eventful night that he’s been trying to forget.

These were his comments:

“People are always gonna talk, but I’m in a positive place. I consider myself a grown-ass man. At the end of the day, if I walk around apologizing to everybody, I’m gonna look like a damn fool.”

Brown admits to his wrong doing and understands why his friends walked away from him after the incident went public; he even states that it was all a mishap.

“You can’t blame people for how they want to be portrayed or if they don’t want to be associated with somebody who had a particular mishap.”

He thanked the people that did stay around and showed him moral support. Within the time that passed he states that his loyal and dedicated fans who stood by him, even though he was bashed by everyone including the media, were his support group through his time of turmoil.

“The last two years, everybody dissed me, but my fans were so dedicated. The way I look at it is, you can’t walk around mad, because then you just prove everybody right that you’re an angry person.”

At press time, his fourth studio album F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies) has been set for official release on March 18 by Jive Records.
