This week top showdown will be with two teams heading into two different directions with the Miami Heats suffering their 5th Straight Loss at home last night 105-96 against the Blazers and the Lakers winning their 8th straight game since returning from the NBA All-Star Break against the Hawks 101-87. The Heats are now only 1-9 against teams above .500 and the one win was against the Lakers on Christmas Day, so I’m sure the Heats will be looking forward to face a team they beat up on in their prior match up in LA to snap their 5 game losing streak. But in the other hand I’m sure the Lakers remember that Dec.25th lost against the Heats very well and had been waiting for another shot similar to their last match up against the Spurs this past Sunday. The Lakers jumped on the Spurs from the first quarter and never let up until the game was over. But it was the Spurs who beat the Lakers in the last two meeting this season until the Lakers put and end to that. This upcoming game which will be shown on TNT should ended up being one of the best games of the regular season with only under 18 games left before the Playoffs start, every game going forward seems to have that playoff feel to it. I expect the Heat fans to be into the game as well as the Heats players. What better team to snap your losing streak against then the “Back to Back” Champion Lakers ? If you were not able to make the trip out to Miami and get tickets for the for incredible match up you can watch it on HD at 7pm on TNT.
