Long Beach, CA – Though coroner reports have not been released as of yet nor have they found the actual cause behind the sudden death of Hip-Hop and G-Funk legend Nate Dogg, born Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, the Long Beach native’s close friend and manager stated that Hale likely succumbed to complications stemming from a pair of strokes he suffered in 2007 and 2008.

According to TMZ.com, Manager Rod McGrew stated that Hale’s family believes the complications were the cause of the unexpected passing of the soulful hook layer. He continued to say that Hale was “cognitively fully recovered” from the massive stroke he suffered in 2008. He was regaining his memory and feeling fully alert and aware up until his final days.

McGrew and Hale’s family released this statement to the media and his fans:

“We appreciate the enormous outpouring of response from all over the world. We greatly appreciate that and thank everyone for their prayers and support. … We know that Nate will be hanging out with his good friends 2Pac and Biggie.”
