You already know, when Lil Wayne does a performance, he does it big. If you’ve ever watched Lil Wayne on stage at concert, his performance value is memorable, between the theatrics and the energy, the crowd is always in full hype. As an added element, it has always been said, the bigger the crew, the bigger the applaud. After watching the greats: Roc-A-Fella, Bad Boy, and Ruff Ryders, their entourage was always up to par. So with almost every live show Lil Wayne performs at, his whole Young Money/Cash Money is always on stage with him adding more to the hype.

Wayne gave MTV News an antidote to his show antics and the reason for putting the whole team on stage with him:

“That’s where I get my little oomph from, when I bring my whole clique out there, and I want them to be heard. I remember when [Bad Boy] had Total, Biggie, Ma$e, Junior Mafia, all of them other people. Then you think of the Roc. We’re more so like the Roc. ‘Cause Jay always had artists the world didn’t know, but he put them on the proper song and everybody knows the song. But this time around, I want you to know the song, I want you to know the person, I want you to know us. And it’s no secret about it, I got the toughest team in the game right now and later.”

There is no denying that Wayne does have the ‘toughest team in the game right now,’ but with everything, Wayne has to do it big. The kick off show for his ‘I Am Music II’ tour was this past Wednesday in Providence, Rhode Island. With the announcement made yesterday, yes, ‘Tha Carter IV’ will be released on May 16.
