The producers of the upcoming Tupac biopic are holding online auditions for the film’s lead role.

After the success of 2009’s Biggie biopic Notorious, Hollywood turned its sights to the BK legend’s one-nemesis Tupac Shakur. Now, according to TooFab.com, the producers behind the upcoming flick chronicling the life of the infamous Death Row emcee have announced that they will be holding online auditions for the lead role.

Beginning this Monday March 21, Stee.TV and the film’s production company Morgan Creek will be accepting five minute long audition videos from potential 2Pacs through their website. The casting call will last throughout the next month.

“[We’re] looking for someone with the right mix of raw charm and charisma for the role,” said producer David Robinson. “At this point, we’re more concerned about finding someone with the ability to give their entire heart into the performance than just looks and personality.”

According to Morgan Creek, the film, which will be helmed by Training Day director Antoine Fuqua, will follow “the life and legacy of Tupac Shakur, including his rise to superstardom as a hip hop artist and actor, as well as his imprisonment and prolific, controversial time at Death Row Records, where he was steeped in the East Coast /West Coast rap war.”
