24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Glovez: They call me Glovez, EastCoastFightaz representative, coming out of Flushing, Queens NY. I
also represent the failed American dream!

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and
what inspired you?
Glovez: I believe music is in my DNA. Being half Irish and Korean I get two different musical sides
fused in one. With my mother being Korean, she is a Karaoke fiend just like most Asians, so
it’s only right that I pick up a mic. Also, my dad is very poetic. Growing up my father always
used to write poetry and my grandfather used to say “That’s the Irish folklore side.”

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Glovez: Growing up, hip-hop was not a major part of my life until my teen years. My mother only
listened to Korean music and my father would only listen to rock-n-roll. I remember my first
hip-hop tape was Vanilla Ice. As I kid, that was my first Hip-Hop tape that I had ever listened
to. When I finally hit my teen years my father bought my brother and I for Christmas 3 Hip-Hop
CDs and they where Notorious BIG Life After Death, Bone-Thugs-N-Harmony East 1999,
and Tupac All Eyes On Me. Once I listened to those 3 CD’s I loved hip-hop! Especially Tupac’s
All Eyes On Me CD. That CD changed the way I looked at the world and the people around us.
Tupac’s All Eyes On Me CD definitely was the CD that put the spark in me for Hip-Hop.

24: What makes you Unique as an artist and different from other rappers out now?

Glovez: I like to say that I’m the failed American dream. I’m the average kid that followed the cycle of
going to school, college, then getting a 9-5 working for corporate America. But I’m here to
tell the world that’s a fantasy. We are in a recession, companies are not hiring, jobs are being
shipped overseas and colleges are no longer a place for education but are now major
businesses. With all that said, I take these elements that happened in my life and our
American culture and way of life and put it into my lyrics.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Glovez: Currently, I am finishing up my first official mixtape “Corporate Grind – You're Fired Vol. 1”
which is dropping on September 24, 2011 on Datpiff.com and GlovezMusic.com.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future.

Glovez: I worked with a lot of unknown producers so far. My favorite producer I work with now is
Basement Beatz from PA. They have produced my first official single “I’m Wasted” off my
upcoming EP and a couple songs off the mixtape “Corporate Grind – You're Fired Vol. 1”
In regards to working with any producer in the future, if I could have the chance to work with
Just Blaze that would be an honor. Everything he does I’m a fan off. Just to rock out on a
beat he created for me would be crazy.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Glovez: I would definitely say I am happy with the feedback I have been getting. To be honest I have
only been taking hip-hop serious since February 2011 and the responses I have been getting
are great so far. I know me as an artist; I still have a lot of growing to do especially only
being in the game for a few months.

24: In today's free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Glovez: Constant repetition! In today’s Hip-Hop you constantly have to have a buzz in a market where
new rappers are popping up a dime a dozen. I believe as a hip-hop artist, you must be willing
to give at least a minimum of 1 free mixtape a year to the public and your fans to fill their
musical appetite.

I keep myself relevant in today’s game and push forward to that household name by
constantly dropping music videos for every song I record. In a visual digital world, you have
to create and offer music videos to your fans. Fans now want more than music. They want
that music video to compliment your music. They want to see your vision behind your lyrics.
Also, doing this keeps your mixtape or album alive much longer.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Glovez: I think it’s great! It’s not the same as it was last year. Another reason why I love Hip-Hop so
much is because it’s always evolving to something new. Whether you like it or not, Hip-Hop
will always evolve to something new. If an artist is not willing to change with the times or
bring something new to the game, you won’t be in the game for long and you are only good as
your last hit!

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Glovez: Currently, I also own “The Next Generation Design Media Group.” We create web-sites,
provide photo shoots and produce music videos. If you check out
www.YouTube.com/GlovezOfficial I recorded and directed each video you see on my YouTube
page. For my animated videos I put the concept together and worked with my team in
developing my ideas into a video. So for any hip-hop artist looking for fun and exciting new
music video or web-site holla at me!

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2011 and how do you plan to separate yourself from
the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Glovez: 2011 is my stepping stone in the music business. This is my year to get my name out there
and build my core fan base. I believe what will separate me from other artists are my music
videos. Dropping a video for each song I create helps me to win over fans in two ways. First
of course is the music. However, if they don’t like that particular song I created, they may
love the music video in which I created for the song. This allows me to still be able to obtain a
fan as they respect my art whether from my lyrics or visualization within my music video.
