For those who know Dwayne Wade you know him as a third year Champion Basketball player with his team The Miami Heat. But there is more to Mr. Wade than what you see on the court and in the gym. After the game Wade has his own life that doesn’t involve cameras but it involves his children and the responsibility he has as a father. Siohvaughn Funches-Wade, ex-wife of Miami Heat star Dwayne Wade, staged a street protest outside a Chicago court on Friday. Funches said after Wade took custody of the couple’s two children from their marriage which ended in 2010, he has failed to pay his full amount of back child support and now she is on the streets.
In the video she complained that she hasn’t seen her kids in weeks due to the pressure of Wade and that he has threatened that if she doesn’t abide by what he says she will not see them again. As sources say, Wade was her money supplier and she has gone through 12 attorneys and wanted to fire the final attorney she had on the case but she got in trouble during the week in which she was arrested by Circuit Court Judge Thomas Carr for appearing late in court, she’d had it. Siohvaughn Funches says “Wade was offering to pay only some of what he owes me if I sign an agreement never again to discuss what happened in our marriage or with our children. I refuse,” Funches said. “I finally told Carr I just wanted to end the case and keep my freedom and my voice. I told him I didn’t want anything from Wade. The judge demanded the trial continue. I couldn’t believe it.”
This doesn’t add up to well, if Wade paid for mostly everything and Funches said she didn’t want his money then why is she blaming Wade for her being homeless and doing her protest? The children seem happy and he is taking care of them. I can’t speak for people but even Wade hasn’t responded to this Funches pointless story.
