Not only did neighborhoods, communities and different countries united together with protests, rallies and peacefully sit ins, but also the Hip Hop community. Rappers like Young Jeezy, Jay-Z, Meek Mills & other entertainers supported in various way which includes songs, tattoos and photos.

And now there’s a chain.

Rapper Plies posted a video on YouTube which revealed his new gold chain in remembrance of Trayvon Martin. Plies is known for his artistic jewelry pieces, but this piece has significant meaning behind it. “I wanted to make sure I had the homie around my neck at all times,” he says in the video. Plies who’s also a native of Florida like Martin says the necklace is his own memorial piece. “He impacted my life just that much, so double salute to the whole Martin family. Double salute to everybody that been touched by the situation, this movement.”
