Darren Sharper, a prominent member of the Super Bowl winning team in 2010, was arrested Friday on felony rape charges. Sharpe was booked and bonded out on 200,000 bail and a court date for the alleged charges was set for Feb. 14. 

 


 

 

Sharper, who played in the NFL with the Vikings, Packers and Saints, currently works for the NFL Network. Los Angeles Police Department is in investigating Sharper in connection with two sexual assaults complaints filed in the West LA area. 


 

                                       

 

 

Also the New Orleans Police Department is in pursuit of investigating Sharper for sexual assault complaint filed against the NFL player. Due to the ongoing charges against Sharper, he has been suspended without pay to further notice. 

 

 

 

Sharper helped fuel an opportunistic defense that helped the Saints reach and win the Super Bowl. Sharper had 9 interceptions in that season, 3 of which he returned for touchdowns as the team got off to a 13-0 start, finished 13-3 and received the top playoff seed. 

 

 

 

TMZ reported  the allegations are for rape incidents that occurred late last year and early in 2014.
