What part of Milwaukee are you from?

A: I was born and raised on the Northside of milwaukee, I grew up in a few areas me and my mom moved a lot the place I remember the most is 32nd and Villard. I kicked a lot on 65th and Hampton, and most of my homies where from uptown.

Whats the music scene like there ?

A: The music scene is pretty dope it’s split into two scenes in my opinion you have the music scene that you find in the hood which is more of a “hood/trap” style of music, but it’s still dope tho in its own way …they call it jackin.
Then there’s the “other” type of music which is found in eastside milwaukee River west, places like that where all the hipsters hang overall tho it’s a dope scene especially when they all come together for dope events, the music is so underground because the city is underground it doesn’t get much attention because Milwaukee is such a small city but I’m looking to Change all that for sure.

Will you be the first rap artist to break into the mainstream from Milwaukee ?

A: Not Necessarily the First but one of the few in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time, I mean you had coo coo cal a long time ago the guy that made the song “my projects” , then you got my homie Rico Love, then there’s me

How long have you been rapping & do you have any other musical talents ?

A: I’ve been rapping since a little kid I wrote my first rap in 4th grade right around the time Jay-Z put out “Izzo” which was my favorite song when it came out and I literally just wrote a verse exactly how the hook sounded it’s pretty funny looking back on it, then I developed a love for free styling in middle school I would mumble out loud to myself words while walking through school some people use to think I was talking to myself but I was actually rapping, then finally I decided I wanted to be an artist in high school I learned how to write full songs and I also learned how to record once I found my voice I just ran with it and I’ve been serious since then

How did you hook up with Yo Gotti ?

A: Well it started with my move from Milwaukee down to Memphis, After I graduated high school my mom wanted me to go to school, but of course I didn’t go right away I kinda got sucked into the street life a little bit, but following a bunch of ups and downs my cousin seven and a phone call from my pops finally convinced me to go to school in Memphis, so once I moved down there I attended Lamoyne Owen college for a bit while I was there I was still working on music then I put this project out titled “It’ll All Make Sense Soon” with Dj Rocksteddy as we moved the project around the city we built a huge buzz and you know Memphis is Gotti’s city ,he keeps his ears to the street so eventually he heard about me when to peep the music and he rocked with it and he end up hitting me on Twitter sent me his number I have em call and we’ve been rocking since.

How long have you been signed to CMG now ?

A: 2 to 3 more months will make it officially a year.

How long did it take before you were officially signed to CMG from the time he first took interest  ?

A: Not long at all I would say a month, after moving around with Gotti on the road for about a month we built a dope vibe so it was clear we rocked with each other.

Tell us about the new mixtape Only The Beginning.

A: Only The Beginning is really my introduction to everybody on a bigger scale, everyone heard me on the CMG compilation Tape “Chapter One” and was like “Woah, who is this kid” then it became “I want to hear more from him” so this was me giving the people a taste of what I sound like , I’m proud of it it’s my first offering to the people and let’s them know that it’s “Only The Beginning” for me.

Is this your biggest mixtape release with close to 200k downloads ?

A: I would definitely say this is my biggest so far, but I’ll top this on the next joint.

What track has been getting the most feedback from your fans & Dj’s ?

A: There’s a few from the fans they really like “Capitol Drive” which I think is dope because i wrote that about my city, “Know it all” , “Soul food and Hennessy” which is also one of my personal favorites and “I want it all” far as Dj’s they gravitated towards “Deez” with my homies Billard and Rico Love and “Go out and Get it”.

How has your home town reacted to your success ?

A: The reaction from my city has been dope I’m super humbled by it, I think overall they’re excited a lot of kids aren’t old enough to remember coo coo cal so for some people im the first one to make it, it really gives people hope that you can make it out the city, anytime I have a show there they come out to show love.

Are you excited about the success of Snootie knowing you could be next ?

A: Definitely im proud of em to see where he started to where he’s at now it’s dope to see his progress, the whole team is going to win.

How was you AC3 experience ?

A: My A3C experience was Crazy! In a good way tho, I literally met almost everybody it was all love out there got to connect with other dope artist, all the shows where dope and I left a dope impression on everybody people still hit my on my social media about my A3C performances so yea it was pretty cool.

What can we expect from you in 2015 ?

A: You guys can expect a bunch of new music from me im putting together a few projects this year the one I’m working on right now is Titled “W” so that’s coming and I’m also going to tour a lot this year, oh and visuals too going to be doing a lot more visuals.

How do you feel about rappers getting arrested still living the street life ?

W: I think it’s an unfortunate thing you know especially if you come from that lifestyle and then you make it out you know the idea is to never go back that route it sucks to get sucked back into it, I think it can be prevented tho if you keep the right people around you that won’t let you fall back into that old lifestyle.

Do you feel any obligation to your fans to stay out of trouble & keep dropping material ?

A: Yea I feel obligated to them and myself to stay out of trouble and to keep supplying them with good music.
