Artists: Lord Infamous & Black Rain Presents Tha Club House Click

Album: After Sics

Label: Black Rain Entertainment

It has been a minute since we’ve seen the lyrical Lord Infamous in the spotlight. It wasn’t quite confirmed on whether or not he even left Three 6 Mafia, but regardless he is back with an album distinctively entitled ‘After Sics,’ the spelling is off, but you should get the idea. Infamous has always been known for his lyrical content and unique delivery; there is no doubt in anyone’s mind that his originality and creativity suited the likes of Three 6. Lord Infamous himself has been in the Hip-Hop for over a decade and yet his fan base and his huge credibility are still there.

‘After Sics’ is the post-Three 6 material that proves to fans that he is still around and still holding it down strong for Memphis, Tennessee. It goes to show that the man behind the rough delivery and the interesting lyrics can still bring it 100%. In this album, he puts together a compilation of his own artists showcasing their talent and lyricism. With the assistance and introduction of the Club House Click which consists of Mac Montese, II Tone, T-Rock, Enigma, Big Stang, Santerria, Snuggle, and Area 51, it is evident that the Memphis sound is all over this collection of tracks. As you run through the tracks one by one, you begin to hear sounds and rhythm that are reminisce to those of old school that Infamous use to bring, the sound that we are use to. The artists that he chose to the grace album define their own talent expressing lyrical and delivery capabilities on a very high level. Their flow follows the Tennessee sound that I haven’t heard in some time. Lord Infamous is keeping the original sound that he has incorporated into the album. The production teams provide a unique sound expressing much originality and head-nod appeal. Pay close attention to the artistry and diversity that each artist possesses throughout each song. Their storyline follows the melodic flow that beat brings in. Every artist is practically in a league of their own, it’s quite obvious Infamous knows talent when he hears it.

On the real, ‘After Sics’ is great material you can bump to in the car, every once and in a while it is always good to hear something different, new sounds from the Midwest that we don’t normally hear often. To be honest, I’ve never heard of his group the Club House Click and all the artists that are affiliated, but I got to admit I was amazed by their lyrical content and diverse delivery that they’ve added to the album. Between the sound and the concept, it definitely follows the Three 6 criteria that many of us have adhered to over the past decade.

Notable tracks include: ‘Ball Off,’ ‘Uuugghh,’ ‘I’m Lookin,’ ‘The Streets,’ ‘I’m Out,’ ‘Try Me,’ ‘All I Need,’ ‘Work Dat Scale,’ and ‘Club House Click.’
