Artist: Ryan Leslie
Album: Transition
Label: Universal Motown

Back for the second time Ryan Leslie seems to have a few more of the right answers to what’s missing in music right now. Going into this album I actually was shocked a bit because the first single “You’re Not My Girl” wasn’t really what I was expecting to hear and did not by any means make me interested in the project much. But songs such as “Never Gonna Break Up” and “Something That I Like” featuring Pusha T is the perfect example. With lines like “Lon Von, broke Niggas call them Ray Bans” and “She don’t gossip she just buy, ship all of the same heels Rihanna rocks on Bossip“. Staying with that “Feel Good Music” as the mood and theme for the “Translation“. Zodiac to “Is it Real Love” blends perfectly and fits right in too make this album more of a masterpiece then a sophomore jinx. Personal favorites like “I Choose You” will definitely separate Ryan Leslie from a lot of new artist and place him as one of those artist to watch out for and not just as a producer. More key tracks to listen for are “Guardian Angel” and “All My Life“.
