If you didn’t already know, DJs are a real important element amongst the industry, without them the artists’ music cannot be played for the fans or the masses. These DJs run the club scene and control the radio spins. They are the essential part of any artists’ rise to fame, this is why they are considered hitbreakers, DJs are responsible for breaking a record into either mainstream or for the streets to notice.

In Miami or preferably all of South Florida, DJ coalition, Street Connect DJs have been breaking music for quite some time now. They are amongst the elite alongside many others. They have assisted and pioneered many artists from the southern region pushing their music across limitations that the artist has no boundaries to go past, essentially this is when the DJs continue to carry the torch. VP of operations over at Street Connect DJs is known as the infamous DJ Meat.

Him alongside many others whether Street Connect or not carry a heavy name amongst the Miami city limits and beyond, honestly if you’re from Miami than you know DJ Meat. This mixtape ‘Stamped N Da Streets’ is something that he put together, co-hosted by Sugaloso. The tracklisting includes some interesting titles, not just from Miami, but some from Atlanta. The collection itself is hits upon hits, club joints and all.

Yo Gotti – Look in the Mirror

Yo Gotti came with it in this song. Between the heavy production and the lyrics, the song makes for a certifiable club banger. It’s obvious that producer Shawty Redd can provide the production for any artist.

Cee Tension – Show Time

This is definitely a dirty south banger. Cee Tension spits some street lyrics over a real catchy beat. His flow meshes with the beat quite well. How can you go wrong with the Swizz Beatz sample on the hook.

Ace Hood – Hustle Hard (Remix)

When Ace dropped this banger, the attention was already there. The beat is itself is on point, right down to his delivery and flow. He even kills it on the hook. This is probably the most remixed song out here right now, so making an official one was probably a good move on Ace’s part, especially with adding Ross, Wayne, Jeezy, and Gotti.

Sugaloso – GunShine State of Mind

Not too familiar with this Sugaloso, but he got lyrics. This is an interesting title for a track. So Mr. One Word, Four Syllables, keep doing what you do.

Rick Ross – John Doe

The Bawse came hard with this one, especially with the representation of Miami crime legends, John Doe and Bo Diddley, the beat itself carries the song, so a mixture of Ross’ lyrics, you got a hit. If you’ve ever watched his M.I.Yayo Documentary than you should know what he’s talking about. The production is definitely Ross vintage. Interestingly enough, it was a freebie on his ‘Ashes to Ashes’ mixtape

Yo Gotti – Freeze Me (Remix)

I dig remixes like this, there’s a plethora of artists that feature their talents and of course, every artist adds their flare and signature to the track. This remix has all ATL features and one Miami feature, interesting.

Doughboy –Birdz Fly High

I’m definitely vibin’ the beat and the hook on this one. Another artist I’m not too familiar with, but he brings it on the track though. His flow bounces on the track smoothly. He spits some interesting lyrics as he narrates the track carrying his audience along with him.

Billy Blue – Riders & Sliders

Billy Blue has always been that vivid storyteller. No matter the song, you can literally paint a picture with his lyrics. He has always been able to narrate his pain and struggles to you on a song. With this one, listen as he flows across the beat, the delivery is definitely on point.

All in all, DJ Meat arranged a good collection of current music onto one mixtape. This is definitely something you can vibe to in the car when you’re driving. If you got the bass in the trunk, then it’s all good club bangers. With the mixture of artists going hard on their lyrics and the beats adding to their elements, it introduces you to music that some might be unfamiliar with, an eye opener sought of say. This is something you should seriously consider copping.
