On Monday night the Dolphins placed back in the AFC East race after Miami's running back Ronnie Brown's 2 yard run, that helped them fly pass the New York Jets 31-27.

With a big contribution from their wildcat play, which they ran 16 times,  Miami gained 110 yards which was key in three touchdown drives, including their last touchdown. The Dolphins had a total of 413 yards, and were also able to convert 9 of their 14 third-down chances and had possesion of the ball for 33.5 minutes.

In only his second NFL start, Chad Henne completed 20 of 26 for 241 yards and two touchdowns. Ricky Williams finished with 68 yards rushing on 11 carries, and Ronnie Brown ran for 74 yards in 21 attempts.

Jets rookie QB Mark Sanchez was 12 of 24 for 172 yards with help from their new addition Braylon Edwards, who they got from their trade with Cleveland last week. Edwards caught a 3-yard scoring pass for his first TD with the Jets, then completed a 34-yard catch on third-and-21 to set up another TD.

The Jets (3-2) have lost two of their games straight and are now in a tie with New England for first place.
