Music is changing. Hip hop and pop are sounding more and more like the same thing and artists of all genres are making music together. While some may be scared of this future, one young Florida artist is running towards it with open arms and so far has received nothing but love back. Check out 24's exclusive interview with D Note.

24:
Welcome my man. For those of you who don't know go ahead and introduce yourself to the people.

D Note: My name is "D-Note". Or just "D". I am a pop, techno, R & B, and hip hop producer. I am also a recording Engineer. I have recorded and/or produced pretty much every genre of music most people hear. I am currently looking for singers and rappers. If you fit the requirements, there is a possibility for free studio time and beats.

24: Okay and where are you from?

D Note: I was born in North Miami, But I go were ever there is work and music.  My Nationality is Chilean.

24: What is your creative process when making your music?

D Note: My creative process varies from song to song. I know most producers would talk about how they use this and that and have all this equipment, but in all honesty I just use what ever I feel will help me express my self at that time. Usually I listen to a song that inspires me. Then I open a session and start painting my picture. Most of the time I use more than one hardware synthesizer in one song. With drums I get really creative. A lot of times I get in front of a mic and record random things, run them through effect and add them somewhere in the beat.

24: How did you get into this, what were your first experiences with music?

D Note: Music has been a part of my life since I was born. I have always been analyzing music and the structure. The first time I ever really began recording and producing music was when I was 12 years old. I bought a really cheap and unprofessional program called Magix Music Maker to see if producing was the thing for me. Though it wasn't great I learned what I needed to learn at the time. So yeah, music has and will always be me.

24: Now listening to your tracks you have a lot of diverse sounds, what exact genre would you say does your music fit into?

D Note: The music I make is hard to label. It is music you could here in the club and in your car. Most of my music is basically a cross from techno, pop, to club hip hop. Regardless I still do any genre of music. Most of my tracks are "radio friendly". There is no greater feeling than watching people dance to my music.

24: Who are some of your influences as far as the production side?

D Note: I appreciate most producers who are in the industry. Some of my favorites are Timbaland, Space Cowboy, and Max Martin. What really impresses me about these producers is their creativity and there originality. Also the fact that they bring techno and trance to pop and hip-hop which I feel will be the future of hip-hop real soon.

24: Who are some artists you think could benefit from your sounds?

D Note: In all honesty I hope to produce for artists that fit the style of music I do such as Lady Gaga, Britney Spears, Jay Sean, Keri Hilson, Etc. I wouldn't mind colabbing with other big producers in the game either. I also would like to work with all the biggest upcoming artists from Florida.

24: Alright and you know you gotta give me some of the recipes in your kitchen, what equipment do you use to make your beats?

D Note: To make my beats I use mostly hardware synthesizers. I use the access virus ti "polar", the Moog "little phatty", Korg r3. The rest of the equipment is software plug-ins and samples I recorded myself. I run all my projects off of a MacPro 8 core. As of my sequencer, I use logic and pro-tools. The most used piece of equipment I use is my microphone. This is how I record samples of sounds and chop them up to fit my track.

24: Alright well we definitely will be looking for you out there real soon. Any last words for the people?

D Note: I am currently looking for singers and rappers to work with. Anyone can contact me anytime through email or phone.
