On Friday, February 12, 2016 Grammy-Nominated Artist Flo Rida, the Big Dreams for Kids Foundation, Mayor Karen Weaver, and other local organizations will be distributing over 7,300 1-L bottles of water to Flint residents at Triumph Church located at 1657 Broadway Street at 6:00PM.

Flo Rida decided to get involved with this public health crisis when he saw that Flint residents were still being denied access to clean water for drinking, bathing, and cooking. When the complaints and reports of bad smells, tastes, and color of the water began pouring in back in April of 2014, the state downplayed the seriousness of this issue and began to ignore the citizens of Flint. Flo Rida, like most of the world, was fed up and frustrated with the state’s choice to cut costs by drawing lead-contaminated drinking water from the Flint River.

“Clean drinking water is a necessity,” says Flo Rida. “There is no question about that. There is no reason why tax paying citizens living within the United States are being denied clean water.”

As a philanthropist, Flo Rida is not only donating thousands of bottles, but he will be in attendance to assist in distributing the bottles out to the residents of Flint, MI.
