Okay, here we are right in the midst of season number four of VH-1’s hit reality TV show Love & Hip Hop. This time around the show is based out of New York with a new twist and set of characters that will make for an enjoyable season of twist and turns. Episode number one, which debuted on October 29th weighed in strong with a 2.99 (Nielsen) Monday night rating, as the show went neck and neck with other Monday heavy hitters such as WWE Monday Night Raw, Monday Night Football and others.

The thing that makes this show number one in the Urban demographic is its urban hood angle. Soap operas and radio shows was the big thing way back when that drew people to shows and at the same time made advertisers spend major bucks for many years as sponsors.

Now that many soap operas have faded and people’s views and taste as new generation emerge, folks long for the hood urban edge. The formula for Love & Hip Hop New York is a fresh mix of male artist such as Joe Budden, Peter Gunz, Saigon and Rich Dollaz who have all had their fair share of ups and downs while dealing with the music business and their personal relationships. The crew of women during this season is chock full of talent, baby mama drama and more.
