Interviewed By section  -Ryan K
24- Introduce yourself to our readers around the world who might not be familiar with you yet.
Kevin Cossom, Singer/Songwriter signed to N.A.R.S Records through JIVE!
24- I’m aware you are not only a singer but one of the hottest
songwriters out. What are some of the records you have penned and which
one would you say is the one you are most proud of?
Knock You Down (Keri Hilson), Go-Getta (Jeezy & R-Kelly),
Speedin (Rick Ross & R-Kelly), My Time (Fabolous & Jeremih),
and What I do (Chris Brown & Plies). I would have to say I’m most
proud of Kncok You Down, since it was nominated for a GRAMMY this year

24-Tell me a bit about your new project ‘Hook Vs Bridge’?
Dope mixtape- 14 songs, has my first single ‘Relax’ feat Snoop
Dogg. Also has features from Rick Ross, Joe Budden, Pusha T, Drake, and
more. It was developed to showcase my artistry, and to separate me from
other R&B artists.

24-Your new single “Relax” which features music legend Snoop Dogg
is burning up the airwaves. Tell me a bit about how that record came
about?
Danja and I were in the studio together in NYC when we came up
with Relax. At the moment of completion we knew it was a hit. A rap
feature was only to enhance the track. We were fortunate enough to be
blessed with a verse from the homie Snoop! He’s a legend, so it?s an
honor to have him be a part of this record.

24-How did you end up getting signed to producer Danja ?
That was one of the first producers I was sent to write with after
signing my publishing deal with Warner Chappell. The chemistry was
immediate and he asked me if song writing was my only interest. I said
no and we talked about me being an artist. After that we set up a few
sessions and took it from there.
24-Who are some of the artist’s that have inspired your music career?
Michael Jackson because of his amazing sense of melody and ability
to connect with his audience, Stevie Wonder for some of the same
things. Jimi Hend and 112.
24-What do you feel separates you from other artists?
Well I write all of my music, so it?s always my point of view-
it?s my way of saying things. I feel I have developed my own sense of
melody, my own style, even my track selection separates me.
24-Your debut album is set for a summer 2010 release- tell me a bit about the album and what the fans can expect?
Well if they?ve heard the mixtape, it?s definitely the next step
up from that. Its feel good music….relatable. Anyone that?s chasing
love, or success or happiness will be able to connect with this album.
24-Before we conclude this exclusive interview tell the fans where they can stay on top of everything Kevin Cossom???
