Love him or hate him, I think it’s safe to say that Flo Rida has reached a new level in his music career. His days of touring with 2 Live Crew as a teenager are long gone and fresh in our memory banks is the success of his hit single ‘Right Round’ as well as the heavy anticipation towards his sophomore release, R.O.O.T.S.

When Flo Rida released Mail on Sunday roughly a year ago he enjoyed much success from the album, most notably through the attention garnered by his T-Pain assisted ‘Low’, which went on to be the #1 single on the Billboard Hot 100 for ten weeks straight as well as appearing in the top ten for 23 consecutive weeks. With Mail on Sunday, Flo Rida enjoyed a breakthrough, but he is now eyeing more and everyday seems to be gaining some kind of momentum.

R.O.O.T.S. will be released this coming March 31st and the buzz seems to be high. With appearances by Nelly Furtado, Ne-Yo, Akon, Wyclef Jean, and many others on the album, sales are expected to be brisk and it’s increasingly evident that Flo Rida has the possibility to take his career to heights never before imagined.

With his success, however, Flo Rida has seemed to attract a little bit of hate from the everyday public in regards to his style as an artist. While some appreciate his appeal to many genres, there are others who seem to feel as if Flo Rida has completely abandoned with Hip Hop roots as he eyes greener pastures.

Wanting to get a better sense of the nation’s view on everything regarding Flo Rida, 24 Hour Hip Hop took a look at look inside some choice forums on the net to get a feel for what everyone is saying. From high praise to heavy criticism, the opinions on Flo Rida are both varying and strong, ultimately resulting in quite the heated discussion. Read on to see what everyone had to say…
