Recently, everyone’s favorite good girl gone bad, Rihanna released a music video for the third single off her current album, Loud entitled “S&M”. The video depicts Rhi in plenty of scantilly clad yet vibrant and fashion forward outfits, ball-gagged press, Perez Hilton on a dog leash,
bondage, the pop songstress deep throating a banana, whips, and plenty of sexy moves, proving to be too hot for T.V. in 11 countries, LITERALLY. In addition to this, BBC radio in London has decided to only play the track after 7PM due to its “graphic content” and it is said that MTV is considering a re-edit of the video in order to make it appropriate enough for daytime programming.

THE HONEST TRUTH: While the video is a bit racy in its content and visual message, I don’t believe its as bad as people are making it out to be. I totally see the vision that her and the video diretor, Melina Matsoukas (who’s directed the videos for Rihanna’s “Rude Boy”, “Hard” and “Rockstar 101”), were going for. I can appreciate this video for the art that it truly is and bottom line, the song is called S&M for heaven’s sake! What did you expect?!!
Anyway, watch for yourselves. Did Miss Fenty take it too far or are these overseas folks just too sensitive?
