24hourhiphop.com sits down with recording artist Alce F from Florida. Alce F also known ass Dopeflow talks to us about his upcoming works, life at home, and what much more. Take a look below to see what Alce F had to say!

24HHH: Intorduce yourself to everyone that doesnt already know who you are?

Alce F: If you don’t know I go by Alce F but I’m also known as Dopeflow through my raps. I was born and raised in Miami but I currently live in Tampa, FL. I’m an independent artist looking to blow independently! I know it’s something that rarely happens but that would be my ideal situation.

24HHH: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into the music business and what inspired you?

Alce F: I was always into music since I could remember. Growing up in a house with four older siblings I had no choice, they controlled the TV so it was always on music videos. I started writing rhymes at a young age. First it was just poems and deep thoughts and then I began turning them into raps. I didn’t know what 16 bars were so it was just pages of ongoing lyrics lol. In high school is when I started developing my skill and got the courage to rap in front of people. From there one my passion for it grew. Most of my inspiration comes from love for the sport. I put my heart into this so when I hear people tell me there a fan it pushes me to go harder. I know what music does for me so if I can do that for someone else it keeps me motivated.

24HHH: What was the hip hop scene like for you growing up where your from?

Alce F: Growing up in Miami Trick Daddy and Slip-N-Slide ran a lot of the music coming out in my area. The Hot Boys were huge amongst me and my peers; to me they were one of the best rap groups ever.

24HHH: What makes you unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Alce F: What you hear is what you get. When I started rapping about what best describes me my flow became tight. Now it’s not to many that can fuck with my flow, its dope.

24HHH: Tell us about what you are working on?

Alce F: I just put out a mixtape called “Just Chill”, I’m promoting that while working on my next one. I’m also working on some new visuals to help build my fan base. Building a bigger fan base is my main focus right now.

Alce F: My friends pretty much. My engineer and producer Nitro, my boy Zoe Dolo, and friends that I knew while coming up send me beats. In the future I would love to work with producers like Pharrell, Kanye, Justice League, Ski Beatz, and many others.

24HHH: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Alce F: Yea the feedback has been all good. I appreciate it when people take the time to tell me what they think about my music

Alce F: Free downloading is great it gives an artist creative control, but my goal has never been to make myself a household name. I want to show consistency, quality, relatable material, and if I become a household name because of that then great.

24HHH: How do you feel about the current state of the hiphop scene?

Alce F: Hip-Hop I feel is competitive right now and substance matters again. It isn’t just one coast or one style that’s popular right now there’s music coming from all around. Hip-Hop is big enough for everyone to eat; from the hipsters to the street niggas there good music being made and people are starting to pay more attention to it.

24HHH: Outside of the music what else are you currently working on?

Alce F: Music is my main focus right now. Eventually I would like to have a clothing line or my own line of hats. I also see myself acting in the future; I would look good on the big screen

24HHH: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?
24HHH: In todays free download age, what do you need to do to make your self a household name?

24HHH: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Alce F: I see myself signing a million dollar deal this year lol. I see myself
working on my craft and getting better, I see myself putting out new and better material, I see myself doing more interviews and features like this one, and the recognition will come. I have faith in what I do and how I do it. I use to sit around waiting and hoping someone would push me but now I push myself, I put my own money behind me. My dedication and effort along with skill won’t go unnoticed.
