24: Hi, JW this is T.I.A from 24HourHipHop.com. How are you?

JW: All love, all love grinding hard. Getting ready for the big year, it’s gonna be a big year for CTE, Grade A, Universal, and JW. You know I just dropped that volume 3 “Get It From The Muscle”. Bigga Rankin, the VP of CTE going in right now.

24: Okay, so before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into the industry and what inspired you?

JW: Well uhm, I was living in Atlanta, but I’m originally from Fort Lauderdale Florida, ya know Broward County. I moved to Atlanta about four, five years ago so you know I was up there, Jazzy Phae, Jae Millz and those guys that are in the industry just respected my image and my swagg. They started getting me on the ball with this music thing. I been doing this for about three years now, but it still is fairly new. They introduced me to the game and I jumped in head first like anything else I do. You know Grade A and imma put 103 ya know we going 103 with everything outchea. Lots of ups and downs but pushing and everything working good right now and working in my favor.

24: Well congratulations, that’s good to hear. So as of right now, who in the industry would you say you listen to on a regular and would probably like to work with in the near future?

JW: That I would like to work with

24: Yes

JW: Im the type of person, I wanna work with folks that wanna work with me. I have respect for every other artist out there doing their thing, I salute every artist, you know what im saying, male or female. I know the struggle that comes with the game. I know all the hard work that comes with it. I been blessed to work with, shout out to Rick Ross. I got a song that was on MTV Jams, ya know that “Everyday” , ya know me, Jeezy, Triple C’s, Rick Ross. You know shout out to them for doing that dere. I also have a song you know “So Sad”, Plies dropped a verse on it you know what I mean. Also Young Jeezy is on it, shout out to the big homie Young Jeezy you know for opening doors for me, you know I appreciate that. You know we grinding, that’s my brother, my big brother, you know it’s all love. But yea im open to any artist out there that wanna work with me.

24: Okay, so you know the “So Sad” song is HOT right now, so what was your inspiration for making that song?

JW: I was on tour with Jeezy at that time and we were in California, and we was on the tour bus at that time and he was like Dub I gotchu, I got a song and we gone go ahead and out this together. So you know he played the beat, and we was in there vibin’ or whatever ya know, shout out to Carmelo Anthony. Yea he was in there on the tour bus with us and it was a good beat, it was a hot beat, shout out to The Incredibles for doing that beat. So me and young in there just talking about it, ya know beautiful ladies and ya know all kinda shit that come with being out here in this game and ya know what im saying, and it’s so sad, you see a chick and you really don’t know her history but it can go both ways. You just looking at a chick and you don’t know her history but it’s just so sad that she is just so fine [JW laughs]. Ya feel me? So we just had fun with it and came up with a concept and its going. It’s one of the hottest songs in Florida right now. Its building up in Dallas, I just did a show in Dallas. I mean every show we have done, we have done a “So Bad” contest with it. Calling out all the baddest, sexiest ladies in the city. I had shows in Gainesville, Newport, Richmond, Tampa, Jacksonville, Duval and Dallas. It’s been sold out shows so they been showing JW a lot of support you know what I mean so im just very grateful for that. You know I signed a major deal to Universal, shout out to Sylvia. It’s just been a blessing.

24:  As of right now what are you currently working on?

JW: I just dropped “Get It From The Muscle” Vol. 3. Shout out to Bigga Rankin who hosted that. Now im working on my album deal with Universal, so im just searching through a lot of singles right now to see which one gonna be my next single. The date is not set right now on the album but we working on it. Imma just gonna be working with different producers, im gonna work with Cool & Dre, Mane, Jazzy Phae, Drama Boyz, just a whole lot of producers, so im just going in right now. Everything is going great right now, so im just blessed.
