24HHH: How did you come up with your Artist name? Tell us about it.

D-Legend: I was born and raised in the late 90's in the heart of Little Haiti when drugs, gang violence, and car theft was at all time high. As a juvenile, I eventually began following the foot steps of all the OG'S and got myself heavily involved in that lifestyle. It's because of the grace of God and the hard lessons of my brother's passing that caused me to make a major change in my life, and to leave the game alone! That's the reason why I named myself D-Legend. I feel like if anyone can make it out of the streets where I came from  and make a positive change in their life, is considered to be a Legend!

24HHH: What was it like growing up there?

D-Legend: Growning up in Little Haiti was very tough. Only the strong survived there and made it through . As a young teen , I was out to do whatever it took to make a living and a difference for my family, cause I was born in a very low income home.  I  was then eventually introduced to hustling drugs, and I gravitated  heavily towards that life style cause that all we knew!

I remember every school year, my dad use to give us $ 50.00 a piece to purchase school clothes and my  Mom use to sell her foodstamps to make a way for us. Now that was hard! Everyday we will hear police sirens, gun shots, and I even witnessed some of my homies and my brother getting shot and killed right in front of me. Sometime I think, It had to be God that was watching over me, cause I am definately  blessed to be here!

24HHH: Who were you raised by? Tell us your family situation. Got any  brothers, sisters, or any siblings? Tell us about your childhood,   and how it impacted your music?

D-Legend: My two sisters and I was raised by by Mom and my two older brothers "  Carl  & Ken Previlon" . My dad kept a roof over our head, but he was never a true father figure. I love my dad and I am greatful for him for providing us with a home, but alcohol, woman, and dominoes is what he put all his attention in!

My older brother Carl then came up strong in the game and he stepped in and played the big brother and father role to my brother, my sisters, and I. Carl made sure we never lacked anything for school and for the holidays. If it wasnt for him, our child hood years would have continoued going down hill, cause we had nothing without him!

The hard life that I've experienced really made an impact on my music. It provided me with the gift and wisdom to reach out to people in all walks of life. I know I can reach out and touch and inspire anyone with my music. My music is real! I am real, so whatever I put on paper will never be sugar coated!

24HHH: What age did you start making music?

D-Legend: I started rapping at the age of 16.

24HHH: What inspired you to pursue making music?

D-Legend: When I was fourteen years old,  I started to follow my brothers footsteps.  I started moving heavy weight. I had a lot of the major weight pushers coming to me to help them move their products. They heard I was a young hustler, so all of them wanted me on their team.  My dogs and I had several hotels on

Biscayne Blvd on lock and we had major trap houses on 58th and 2nd Ave . I was on the rise and headed no where fast!

My brother got a call in South Carolina from one of his friends and he was informed that I was on the streets wilding out! He then flew in from South Carolina, took me to the park, and  beat the crap out of me severely. I remember it like it happened yesterday! While he was whooping my ass, he said he thought I was going to be the only sibling to finish college and do something positive in life. He then said why I don't rap or something instead of running the streets! It really hurt him when he saw I was following his footsteps. I saw it in his eyes! That incident and his words, is what pushed and inspired  me to rap!

24HHH: What artists/producers do you work with? Or rubbed shoulders with?

D-Legend: My cousin NachoTypical from I.F.A.P.music group and Looch from Miami Beach Rcording Studios produce and record most of my tracks. Ive been doing music with them for many years now. I used to be in a group called 2 Sides of Life, but now  I decided to pursue my solo career.
