24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Dgee: I’m Dylan Colligan go by the stage name Dgee and I’ve been in the music scene for about two years.

24:Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

Dgee: Me and some friends were goofing off with freestyles back in 9th grade high school and turns out I loved putting words and the rhyme scheme making rhythms. My inspirations range back to Macklemore then ventured up to Wiz and Bob Marley.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Dgee: I grew up pretty with music outta my cCD player but also on the school bus everyone loved Boosie and Trill Fam. Soon it got into Lil Wayne but still Boosie bangs in these parts.

24: What makes you Unique as an artist and different from other rappers out now?

Dgee: I like uptempo and to rap fast but I write all my tracks in about 20 to 30 minutes. I try to be optimistic in my raps and try to steer away from negative things.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Dgee: I’m working on finding producers at the moment for my next album called “Audemar Cauchemar” which is to drop in September, and also “Story” which is to drop in 2014.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Dgee: I’ve honestly haven’t worked with any producers like that because I’ve used beats off got instrumentals mixtapes and used them so far, but one producer I’d like to mention is Mazik Beats who give good feedback and is there criticizing me to help me. In the future I’d love to work with Mike Will, Renegadez, Jahlil,  and JStaffz.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Dgee: That’s the thing, a lot of people aren’t being reached by my music so I haven’t gotten a lot of feedback but for the most part yea, as long as my music is bumpable and puts smiles on peoples faces.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Dgee: You need to be original, come up and be creative with your flows and wordplay, because It’s so hard to find originality nowadays.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Dgee: The Hip-Hop scene I believe is kinda dying with the mainstream artists that we have and so many underground ones coming up aren’t being noticed at all.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Dgee: I’ve been working on getting my ish straight for the next years to come, going to college, and just stacking money meeting new artists and people to help me out!! So honestly I stay working on my music.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Dgee: I hope to blow up soon, actually, I feel 2013 is gonna be a good year, but I’m going to venture out more in hopes to get gigs and also just promo a lot and just give more to the people because I love music and what I put out is more for others than it is me and I know what I want good music to sound like but recording off my phone doesn’t help my case, but I try to put out good music for everyone. I want and wanted this so bad to help my mom out more than she has helped me raising me as a single parent.
