24hourhiphop.com had a chance to sit down with God Created Kings to speak on their project and what they have going on at the moment. Check out what they had to say below!

24HHH: Intorduce yourself to everyone that doesnt already know who
you are.

GCK:God Created Kings (GCK) is a force of young, talented and ambitious brothers who share the same passions in music, fashion and cultural revolution. From a pack of 20+ members, there are five artists who have united their visions to present to the world, GCK Vol. 1; a formal introduction to the empire.

24HHH: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history
about how you got into and what inspired you?

GCK:The God Created Kings movement was formed in 2011 with the purpose of bringing a new perspective to hip hop culture. One that celebrates diversity and duality instead of the redundant themes often associated with the rap genre. This vision was inspired by noticing a void of positive black male role models united for the greater good.

24HHH: What was the hip hop scene like for you growing up where your
from?

GCK:Being that New York’s music scene was the foundation for hip hop, this has always been a challenge for the NY artist following in the likes of Nas, Notorious B.I.G., Wu- Tang, Pun, Jay- Z, The L.O.X., 50 Cent & Dip Set. These are the names reminiscent of a time when hip hop was raw, lyrical and authentic.

24HHH: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other
rappers out now?

GCK:What makes GCK stand out aside its contemporary competition is the connection they maintain with the local communities and college campuses serving as living proof for the younger generations that you can be cool all while on a positive path of growth of development. Far from strangers to survival means, GCK’s goal is to influence the increase of black business not only through promoting the concept via music, but furthermore, the movement’s real life endeavors including real estate, the stock market and other wealth building opportunities.

24HHH: Tell us about what you are working on?

GCK:God Created Kings is currently working on successfully promoting the release of their launch project entitled, GCK Vol. 1. which was just recently released on August 21st, 2013 via http://wwww.datpiff.com. 24HHH: What producers have you worked with, and who would you like
to work with in the future?

GCK:CK is loyal to the gritty sounds of in house production from Apollo 13 and Fly Boy Beats of Upstate, New York. Though in the near future, they do intend on collaborating with some of the bigger name producers such as Alcemist, AraabMuzik, Bangledesh, Swizz Beats and others.

24HHH: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from
people on material you have released?

GCK:Though GCK is proud of how far they come in such a little time, they remain humble and dedicated in the pursuit of greater heights. Each member of the team is working hard by playing their part to draw a massive following that’ll impact the world. Simply put, its power in numbers!

24HHH: In todays free download age, what do you need to do to make
your self a household name?

GCK:In todays free download age, aspiring artists must identify a target audience, establish a brand and develop a major online presence to attract a solid fan base to become a household name.

24HHH: How do you feel about the current state of the hiphop scene?

GCK:The current state of the hip hop scene is progressive, yet reminiscent to a time where artists felt free to express themselves in a creative and original manner breaking free from the norms of mainstream radio. The sound of today is one that is innovative and unpredictable.

24HHH: Outside of the music what else are you currently working on?

GCK:Outside of music, GCK is embarking upon endeavors outside of the music including but not limited to brand merchandise, commercial properties and a youth mentoring service located in both New York City and Central New York.

24HHH: Where do you see yourself going in 2012 and how do you plan
to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you
deserve?

< strong>GCK: In 2013, I see God Created Kings taking a long stride forward toward their goals and aspirations of becoming a household name in the music industry by touring the world to perform and sharing the energy of the movement with the people worldwide. We feel distinguished from other groups of artists out today, because our movement is one that symbolizes brotherhood, community growth and empowerment.
