24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

HOT.T.: HOT.T., SuperProducerHOTT, 2T’s, or Multiple 14 are the names/nicknames that I have come to be known and accustomed to in the past year or so in my time being Co-CEO & Co-Founder of Nxt Level Entertainment. I am a Swiss army knife inside a Swiss army knife hypothetically speaking. Artist/ producer/ engineer/ Radio Personality/ photographer/ Videographer/ GraphicDesigner /ClothingDesigner/ + much….much more.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you?

HOT.T.: I actually got into music in 8th grade just for the sake of having a group, but after years of rap battling and listening to artists like Jadakiss and Cassidy you can’t help but better yourself as an artist. Then around the time I was a senior in high school I realized I was actually good but see there was only one problem. I was pushing too hard to be like other artists instead of making my own name, and that is when the change came and the inspiration and motivation took over.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Where I’m from (Monessen, P.A.) growing up with family like my cousins Bub/Phil and the whole Hard Knox 54th Regiment, if you didn’t know anything about artists like Biggie or Kiss (Jadakiss) you were lost in the loop. Most of everything was either raw street hip hop or just straight lyrical artists.

24: What makes you Unique as an artist and different from other rappers out now?

HOT.T.: How I do it, and why I do it.

How: when I make a beat I mentally put words into every melody or if I just hear an instrumental I can hear what the beat is trying to say, it sounds crazy but true. Also when I write a chorus for a song, if it takes over 5 minutes to write I delete it because I feel if I’m truly feeling the beat the lyrics will connect instantly.

Why: it’s not just because I have a family and mouths to feed, not just because I don’t curse in any of my songs because I feel as if it’s an excuse for a poor vocabulary, not just because I’m good at it and getting recognition, I do it because its apart of my everyday functioning like it’s a calling on my life. I have my own way of doing things and I don’t do it to get noticed or change myself for a&rs to notice me, real will notice real in a crowd of 7 trillion.

24: Tell us about what you are working on?

HOT.T.: I am working on multiple projects currently,( In The Moment) is my personal solo mixtape arriving shortly after my late mixtape “Whole Club Rockin V.1) and will be coming soon. Also I am producing about six full mixtapes simultaneously for artists such as ( D-Nyed whose early released song “Focused” I produced for him has just reached the 200,000 view mark on youtube in a matter of weeks, HoneyClutch, Jarrod, Jay-NU and Austin Mclean)[as a side note its definitely a pleasure working with singers like Austin Mclean, How he’s not on a show like the voice right now is beyond me. Just Saying]

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

HOT.T.: The only producers I have worked with have been myself and Mister808s to whom is another producer under Nxt Level Ent. As far as working with producers in the future I actually just dm’d Sonny Digital yesterday and asked if he wanted to co-produce this song I’m trying to do with Kendrick Lamar. As far as working with any other producers I feel like anyone deserves that first test run I just want to look back at it and be able to say this needs to happen again like yesterday.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

HOT.T.: The feedback has been a major influence within these last few months, I mean I put together my video for my song “Turnt Up” in 2 days were I shot the video produced it etc. and uploaded it to youtube. Ill be honest I only expected about 10,000 views but then after it went viral and a quarter million views a month and a half later ide have to say I feel great, especially being that I have a lot more songs better than Turnt Up in my arsenal. Even songs I have produce, the lowest number of youtube views has been in the 30,000 + range and all feedback from new fans etc. has been positive.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

HOT.T.: You have to have a strong team, I mean a team that supports you in everything you do and that feels like & knows if you make it they make it. A team that pushes your work like they forgot about their own lives just to help you out. I know this because this is the type of team I have and the progress is evident.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

HOT.T.: Even the people that are on right now even the biggest of names know that hip hop isn’t were it can be or were it was when biggie and pac were still up and kickin but all I can say about that is that just leaves room for me to make my change to the game when the opportunity presents itself.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

HOT.T.: I am actually finishing up my last year of college as a Division1 Track Athlete. I know that may be a little surprising but very true. Plus just being a family man because it all boils down to who you come home to and putting a smile on the face of those who matter to forget about how stressful this life really can be.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

HOT.T.: In 2013 I see myself under a major label making hits writing songs for every genre from hip hop all the way to rock or from soul to dub step. As in recognition, when one recognizes that they are destined for so much more than what they have, there is nothing that can stop them from being noticed. Plus as I said earlier real is going to recognize real in a crowd of 7 trillion and my work speaks for itself.
