24:  Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Radix: I’m a 20 year old different minded hip-hop artist by the name of “Radix” from Lawrence, Massachusetts.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history, specifically how you got into music and what inspired you?

Radix: What brought me to this path was poetry, I started writing to express myself and it just so happened I had a skill for making music the first time I tried it, But what really gave me that push to pursue music was the first day I heard Kid Cudi’s song “My World”… The rest was history.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Radix: The Hip-Hop scene when I was young consisted of artists like DMX, Mary J, Wu Tang, Jay Z, Ja Rule, R Kelly and so on.

24: What makes you unique as an artist and different from other rappers out now?

Radix: What makes me unique as an artist is my sound, what I talk about, how I go about it and create my world into reality, No need for further words, Just give me a listen.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Radix: Recently, working on my new video for my song “Ash” and just released my newest tape “Tropical Black.”

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Radix: I work with producers all around, My main producer is Remy Grey (@RemyGrey) and as for very well know producers i’d love to work with No ID, Hit Boy, Plain Pat, SpaceGhostPurrp and of course Kanye West and Ryan Leslie.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Radix: I’m very satisfied with the feedback I been getting, My fan bas keeps building and grows bigger everyday, People really relate to my sound and understand my mental and relate to the struggle of dreams and reality.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Radix: Same as always, Build fan bases, Shows, Consistent music and mainly for me being a voice for the youth and for those who feel the way I do.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Radix: It’s a bittersweet feeling but thing’s progression even though everything gets sampled, I just think the music changed cause what the generation is into these days change, Things don’t stay the same forever.

24: Outside of the music what else are you currently working on?

Radix: There’s not much of an outside of music for me, but I have some other things I work on but I am very big into my Sponsorship Annie Mulz. (AnnieMulz.com)

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Radix: I see my fan base becoming massive, I already have labels looking at me, a sponsorship, A huge following on Twitter and a real loyal fan base building. So there’s no telling where it goes, I’m still young and enjoy just making art.
