24: Introduce yourself to everyone that doesn’t already know who you are.

Tickdo: People know me as Fly Boy. Better known as Tickdo. From the sunniest cities of the world, Miami, Florida. I am 21 and very meticulous about the music i create and exhibit. If i could describe my music in a line I would say “It’s dandy, you don’t have to tell me”.

24: Before we get into your music, can you describe your history about how you got into and what inspired you.

Tickdo: My inspiration comes from the thrill of creating good music. Music made exactly to fit the sound of the beat, down to its very last tune, tones, high, and lows i know them all. It’s so evident to me, I find it therapeutic.

24: What was the Hip-Hop scene like for you growing up where you’re from?

Tickdo: I was growing up watching the VIBE, video mix, and the box. I was listening to Rappers like Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Ice Cube, and Snoop Dogg. That’s when MC’s were parcel of Hip Hop, MC’s were putting out music that had meaning or inspired many. They were lyrical, and had immense amount of vocabulary. That’s what music was like!

24: What makes you Unique as a artist and different from other rappers out now?

Tickdo: What makes me unique is my ability to transform with music, I created a vast variety of music that smite listeners ears in a good day. I could perform different styles, ways, and different beats. Im not particular about the music I create my music is diverse. A listener would not know what to expect. That is what i call the element of surprise.

24: Tell us about what you are working on.

Tickdo: Currently I am working on releasing a mix tape “Ticket to Doe”. She loving me is the first Hollywood single dropping from it. Then I am promoting my other tracks like Shake it for me, and Jook we vibe and other tracks from the mixtape.

24: What producers have you worked with and who would you like to work with in the future?

Tickdo: Tickdo has worked with underground sensations Black Fox, Pure Funk, Young Boy, Erv from New Year, DJ Flava O Gee, Da Vouge Boys, Luey Black, J-Bo, Star Shine Productions, Jimmy Dade, and Chris Black.

24: Are you happy with the feedback you have been getting from people on material you have released?

Tickdo: Shake it for me is doing very well, i have a few other tracks that are now on the same route not to far behind. Im getting positive feedback, but with every paired part you have to deal with with the other side, ultimately its all about how I feel. Speculation is apart of human nature, allowing negative feedback to affect anything i do would be holding back from my full potential self regulation is virulent. The opinion of others will never demolish my craftmanship as an artist.

24: In today’s free download age, what do you need to do to make yourself a household name?

Tickdo: You have to make good music consistently, that is how you become iconic. This isnt going to be a hard process for me because, Music i create and i do it well, allow the music to speak for itself we all know good music. Listen to mine and you will think masterly create.

24: How do you feel about the current state of the Hip-Hop scene?

Tickdo: Feelings now about the Hip Hop scene, honestly I never really been the type to judge I would say the Hip-Hop scene now is massive very opened, and but the music speaks for it self. It has Meek Mill, Kendrick Lamar, T.I, Rick Ross, Kanye West, and Lil Wayne. The game is just getting more interesting day by day.

24: Outside of the music, what else are you currently working on?

Tickdo: I am currently working on attaining my computer/science degree. I am also building my own studio near home, so i can start working on self made beats.

24: Where do you see yourself going in 2013 and how do you plan to separate yourself from the other artist out today to get the recognition you feel you deserve?

Tickdo: I basically see myself being the ultimate business man and Hip-Hop sensation, having my own recording label, nominee for many awards and just being the best at what I do.
