It’s hard to think of a sport that is as picturesque as professional boxing. Fighters put themselves at risk for the world to see and the images that are captured are often intimate and telling. Professional boxers put their blood, sweat, and tears into their work and when looking at pictures of the athletes there is much revealed.

At the moment the two biggest fights in the sport are the upcoming March 13th clash between Manny Pacquiao and Joshua Clottey at the Dallas Cowboys Stadium as well as the May 1st bout between Shane Mosley and Floyd Mayweather at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Clottey has been training for the Pacquiao fight down in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and by all accounts he is looking primed and ready to go. The bruising Accra, Ghana fighter sports a 35-3 record with 20 knockouts and seems to realize that his showdown with Pacquiao is the biggest contest of his career. Earlier this week Top Rank photographer Chris Farina spent a few days charting the every move of Clottey and was able to capture some personal pictures of him in training.

On the second day of Farina’s coverage, Clottey ran down Ft. Lauderdale beach in the morning and hit the gym later in the day. Click below to access those images…

After Pacquiao and Clottey do battle the attention will then be turned to the Mayweather-Mosley bout, as it is a fight that has been nearly ten years in the making. Pitting Mayweather’s speed and skill against Mosley’s tenacious attack will surely give us a lot of answers about both men.
