Rockstar Games North does it again, after the release of GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas; years later, finally we get to see a glimpse into the new Grand Theft Auto.

On Thursday night, March 29th, RockstarGames.com released the trailer to the most anticipated 3D game of 2007, the unveiling of Grand Theft Auto IV. The one minute trailer puts you in the streets of NYC, where the franchise first started its reign; the backdrop is impeccable with images of modern day NY. With a clear and high def imaging view of the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, and Times Square. Interestingly enough, if you get a closer look at one of buildings, the top sign says “GetALife.” resembling the Metlife building; we get a good idea what they’re trying to get across. The main character voice-overs with a Russian accent and persona, he intros the scene with only a few words, only leaving us with an urge of wanting more. At the end of the trailer, we are left with questions and strong anticipation as the Roman numeral “IV” brilliantly stamps its arrival as we exit the scene. The tension begins as the wait to release is several months down the line. As for now, Rockstar doesn’t plan on revealing anymore clues to the game, unless they release additional trailers down the line, I guess patience is in effect for the moment.

Grand Theft Auto IV is set to be released on October 16, 2007 to both Playstation 3 and the XBOX 360. Upon release of the game, 24hourhiphop will have a full review of the gameplay, the characters, and the plot.
