Look, I’m not sorry for stressing the relevance of the lawsuit that former founder of the Source Magazine, David Mays and partner, Raymond “Benzino” Scott are going through with former Editor-In-Chief (of the Source) Kim Osorio.

Now, if you tunned in last week, then you’ll know that Kim Osorio is hitting Dave Mays over the head with a Multi-Millon Dollar lawsuit for “sexual harassment”. Osorio was working for the Source for like 5 years or something like that...so, one of the question arises, is, ‘why has it taken her so long to say something about this?’

On Friday, October 20, 2006, Mays approached the stand with his testimony. He described Osorio has being a “desperate blackmailer”. Mays did give recognition to Osorio of doing a fine job as exclusive editor and it was his decision, with influence from Benzino, to promote her to Editor-In-Chief. Mays claims that as time passed, he had concerns with Kim’s work ethics.

Osorio says that working for the Source Magazine was a horrible experience. She spoke of how there would be pictures of naked women every where and the males at the job would talk to females any kind of way. Overall, she says that it was a very unprofessional working environment.

Now that you hopefully know the synopsis of this case....let me speak my piece on it. First of all, I agree with Mays and his crew. Why would it take Osorio long to say something about this. I mean, come on! No word after 5 years. “Nigga Please”! I also forgot to mention...they also brought up another question. On some days that Osorio didn’t have a babysitter, she would bring her child into work...so the question is, ‘if you felt so uncomfortable with the work environment...why would you bring your child? This is also a good point.

After having these questions prior to Friday, it just so happens that May has filled the jury in with more information, which will also have you smelling fish...

According to Mays, “I had been making plans to replace her behind the scenes and I guess she got wind of it.” he said.

It just so happens that Osorio agreed to rescind her complaint if he would give her some thing in writing that states the security of her job; in which Mays responded, “We can talk about this, but I’m not gonna be blacked mailed.” And that was the end of the conversation.

The next time they spoke, Osorio had changed her mind and decided that she would proceed with the sexual harassment claim. Mays stated, “She just said, ‘Look, Dave I can’t do it. If I retrack the complaint I don’t have anything [to protect] me,’” Mays recalled.

Now, I don’t know about you, but, I’m riding for David Mays. Stay tunned for the final verdict.
