 24: Why did you choose to get into modeling? Dria Emanuel: Actually, I never looked into modeling. Then an agent/casting director, discovered me outside of a club in downtown Manhattan. It was one of my first time ever going to a club, that just so happened to be an album release party. He was the same guy who discovered Julexa 2006 face of Apple Bottom & PZI Jeans. Once he saw me, he convinced me that he was legit and really wanted to work with me. He then got me in front of the camera for a test shoot and needless to say I fell in love with the camera. I then decided to take my career into my own hands, so I could do it my way. I began to network and got my "weight" up in the industry and the rest is history in the making. 24: Are you currently in a relationship because if so does having a relationship and a modeling career ever but heads with each other? Dria Emanuel: I definitely have a special somebody in my life. My career and my relationship never bumped heads because he is in no way connected to the entertainment business thankfully. I like to keep my private life separate from my work because I've seen some very unprofessional shit when the two intertwine and at the end of the day I'm all about my business! 24: What photo shoot you have done so far that has been your favorite to date? Dria Emanuel: I would have to say the G-Unit Clothing Catalog Shoot. It was a more commercial fashion shoot. So it was a different look than I have been used to since I began modeling. But it was a great look for me in regards to versatility. 50 Cent was actually in the shoot as well, so for the first time in my career I got to interact with a male model, not to mention an A-List celebrity at that. Don't get me wrong-- I don't get star struck, and I'm far from a groupie but I felt a little pressure to deliver the look they needed from me. All the while it was a new experience for me, like I said. But knowing it was a job I was booked for over a number of other models, I definitely did my thing. Plus I don't crack under pressure anyway I come thru in the clutch (lol). But the set was also fun and comfortable. 50 Cent is a funny dude, he was cracking jokes and the other models were friendly. So the environment mixed with the experience and the add on my resume had to make it my favorite. 24: What magazine would you love to be on the cover on and why? Dria Emanuel: If I had a choice I would say 'W' or Vogue. But lets be real here (lol)! Women with curves are not appreciated in these magazines. So a more realistic choice would be Vibe Vixen, because it is definitely all about ethnic woman being appreciated for their talent & hard work, yet in a tasteful manner. But I can never rule Maxim or FHM out because I definitely want to break through into the commercial industry rather than just settling for strictly urban print work. 24: Do you get labeled sometimes as just a pretty face and nice body? Dria Emanuel: Oh yeah, definitely. But the funny thing is, I pride myself on other characteristics, like the fact that I am well spoken, articulate and intellectual aside from being just physically attractive. I don't ever walk into the room thinking I'm the shit walking. But I assure you, if you try and judge me by putting me into this category of being young, dumb & pretty.. I will definitely prove you wrong! 24: What's a sexually fantasy of yours that you thought about but not sure you would actually do in reality? Dria Emanuel: Wow! Lol, it would have to be me role playing in the french maid outfit and 6 inch heels (lol). I would cater to my special guy, wait on him hand and foot and let him write the script to the fantasy. But, I'm afraid this won't happen in reality because I am nobody's slave or housewife, and I like to make the decisions. So I don't wait on anyone hand and foot. But, I do love to please my man, so I guess I can never say never people. 24: If you had to choose a flavor of an Ice cream that someone had to lick off of you what flavor would you pick? Dria Emanuel: That whole licking off stuff sounds like a sticky situation, but I know that men like a variety of different flavors. Each flavor is deliciously unique but I'm going for the Butter Pecan! 24: What part of your body do you think is the sexiest and what part of your body gets the most attention? Dria Emanuel: I am sure the guys would definitely say my bubble (lol). But I would have to say my legs. I rarely ever work out, however, they are nicely toned. Oh yeah, I can't forget about my luscious lips either. 24: What's the worst date you have ever been on? Dria Emanuel: Well, I never really dated casually. I am 21 years old, however I was recently in a relationship for 4 years. That being said, I haven't really played the dating game yet, so I have never really been on a bad date before. Thank God (lol). I can't deal with any hell dates! 24: Tell me about your website MissDria.com (www.missdria.com)? Dria Emanuel: Well basically, the launch of my website 'MissDria.com' is expected to be up in February 2008 and it is one of my biggest accomplishments thus far because it is a representation of my entrepreneurship. It is a business I mapped out myself so people who support me can keep up with me and my career. I then pitched the idea to GSEA.net whom agreed to sponsor it along with a merchandising deal. Aside from all the logistics, I am in charge of the content displayed, so I can tell you that the pictures will constantly be updated and they all are going to be FIYA!! The pictures will definitely be more edgy than my usual (wink, wink) but needless to say, it will be exclusive, so stay tuned! 24: What's next for Dria Emanuel and how can someone get in contact with you? Dria Emanuel: I am definitely aiming to become a household name through printwork and film roles within the modeling industry. The next step for me is becoming an successful actress. However, along with the title of Model & Actress, most importantly I'm aiming for mogul status! Kimora Lee Simmons is my role model. That being said I have major plans to build an empire.
