Pascalle, the Miami Diva!!
Read 35499 Times Since Posted on 0000-00-00 Untitled Document 24: Where are you from Pascalle? Pascalle: Well, I was born in Miami, but…I grew up in Switzerland and in the Bahamas. 24: How old are you? Pascalle: 20 24: Now for those of us who don’t know you, where have you made appearances? Pascalle: I’ve made appearances in Benzino’s “Bottles and Up” and Ne-Yo’s “When you’re Mad”. On the Disney channel with Aaron Carter “Saturday Night”, Smooth Magazine, Master P magazine…uhm…and numerous things in the Bahamas. 24: How long have you been modeling? Pascalle: Well the first photo shoot that I ever did was when I was 3years old. And it was when I was in the Bahamas; it was for this store called “The Island Shop”, and they had me dressed up in like, grown folks clothes and like shoes and everything, and I was reading a book to the adults. 24: Has your modeling career been consistent since then? Pascalle: After that, I stopped for a while ‘cause I had my little Tom boy phase [Laughs] and once I got into high school, people would tell me ‘Oh you should do this, you should do that.’ So that’s when I started to do local stuff in the Bahamas. And once I got here [Miami] I just kinda’ transferred my contacts with me [Laughs]. 24: How long have you been doing videos? Pascalle: Video’s…uhmm…I really wasn’t trying to get into videos. And uhm, I got a call from one of Benzino’s people and he was like ‘Hey Pas what’s up? Do you wanna do this video?’ And I’m like, ‘I don’t know’ I’m like, ‘Okay, fine.’ And from there I didn’t do video’s for a few months; until I got another call form “Joey” he’s the director of the Aaron Carter video “Saturday Night”…so, I went up to Orlando to do that and that was airing on the Disney Channel for awhile. After that I gotta call for Ne-Yo’s video and DJ Khaled’s video. 24: What inspired you to get in to modeling and videos? Pascalle: Well I’m the only girl, and I have 6 brothers, so I’ve always been the center of attention and I love taking pictures. Like, someone could be taking a picture 50 feet away and I’ll run to get in it. So that kinda worked itself out, but as far as the videos is concerned, I’m just using modeling as a stepping stone. I do want to move into acting, and non-profit organizations, clothing lines, jewelry lines…the whole nine yards; so there’s a bigger picture than just, ‘okay, I wanna be a so-called urban model; because that’s not where I want it to stay. I want to take it to a totally different level and I want to be able to use that background that I had living in Europe and living in the Caribbean’s. 24: Is there anything that set’s you apart form other girls who do video’s? Pascalle: What’s different about me…when you speak to a lot of girls who do videos their main goal is to be a lead in the video and very rarely it goes further from there. 24: Now for those who don’t know the difference between “leads” and “extras” can you explain it to us? Pascalle: Lead girl, is the main girl on the video, she gets most time on camera, you could say [Laughs]; I find that most girls, that’s their main goal [Is to be lead girl]. Or to do a few magazines and then it’s like, okay well, what else are you doing? What else do you want to achieve? And a lot of them are not really trying to take it to no other level, and I can say that I definitely am [Laughs]. 24: Would you consider yourself a video vixen? Pascalle: No, I think the video vixens that are out, are known by the public, like Gloria Valdes, Ester and them. They have like 20 videos under their belt and I have like 3 or 4 [Laughs]. So I wouldn’t call myself a video vixen, I’m just a model trying to make it. 24: Are their any other project that you’re working on? Pascalle: There’s a lot of stuff up in the air…right now, I’m focused on a lot of stuff in the Caribbean. 24: Is there anything you would advise to young girls who want to be in this business? Pascalle: To just stick to your dream and follow your heart, regardless of what anyone says or how anyone try’s to hold you back and just go for it 150%. That’s what I try to do. Anything that I associate myself with, I try to do it 150% regardless. 24: Is their anything else you would like to promote? Pascalle: Check out my website www.pascalle.net Interview By: Karima Latifah
