24: How did you get signed to Atlantic Records?

B.O.B.: It all started when I was performing "Cloud 9" at club Crucial in Atlanta, me and my manager B Rich was starting our grind and TJ (TJ DJ’s) was in the crowd and he saw the reaction I was getting from the people and they asked me to come back on stage and do an encore. So that night B Rich and me linked up with TJ and he took us to Rebel Rock in Miami (producer Jim Jonsin Record label) and they were interested off rip. Rebel Rock goes through Atlantic so they kept us in Miami until they could go and get all of the paper work straight in New York. Before could sign the paper work I had to actually perform for all of the A&R’s and executives and the video is actually on my myspace page.

24: Explain your style because I like you have your own lane that you’re making for yourself by just listening to your song "Use Ur Love"?

B.O.B.: My style is just free man, the common misconception that people have is that creating your sound is when you have to go in a certain direction when really if you just let it flow and let the music come out that’s really what your sound is. That’s what in your soul!

24: Tell me about your album and who are some of the producers and artist you have been working with?

B.O.B.: I do a lot of my own production because I am actually a producer also but I am open to other producers with different sounds.

24: Is there a producer that you have not got to work with as yet but you really want to get for the album?

B.O.B.: Not really who ever is interested enough to want to get on the album and it happens naturally, I’m inspired by everyone it could be a big name producer or a no name producer and he plays a beat and I hear different melody and sounds, that’s what inspires me.

24: This next questions is for our readers which many are up and coming artists trying to get a record deal tell them from your experiences so far what it’s like after signing and the work you have to do after to become successful?

B.O.B.: It’s work but if you look at as hard work I don’t think its hard work, granted that you might have to put up with things you might don’t want to do. I think you just have to believe and stay consistent & motivated

24: I saw that you have your mixtape up for free download in your blog and I think that a lot of artist should really start doing that because its really good promotion that everyone can get with the click of a button, so can the fans expect to hear from you on the mixtape?

B.O.B.: My mixtape from what I have heard a lot is that it’s a breathe of fresh air and I think its because everyone seems to be playing follow the leader. Everyone is just following the cool thing to do and with me I’m just letting it flow and that’s what people can expect from it no follow the leader shit.

24: If you were not rapping what do you think you would be doing?

B.O.B.: Shit man, I’ll probably in jail some where………really talk I wanted to be a Chef so maybe I would have been a Chef.

24: What’s some of the things everyone should be on the look for from you?

B.O.B.: The album, I have the "Eastside Takeover" mixtape coming out. The album should be dropping in the first quarter, second quarter next year so we are getting ready for that. Also look out for my single "Hatterz Every Where" and the remix with Rick Ross and Juvenile.

24: Is there any last words you want to say to the readers?

B.O.B.: What ever you do just believe because if you don’t believe it won’t happen, shout to TJ’s DJ’s, DJ Entertainment, Georgia Derk, Willy Joe, Playboy Trey, Water Boy, my nigga Swag, Born Wit It, and just the whole East Side!
