24: First and foremost congratulations on the deal with J Records how does it feel finally having your hard work pay off?
C-Ride: We’ll, it hasn’t really pay off yet you know. I’m still on ground zero and I have to work harder you show these big dogs what I’m trying to do. I’ll be happy when I’m on Billboard you dig!

24: Are you at all concerned about the fact that J Records have not yet had too much success with their Hip Hop artist?
C-Ride: Not at all because I’m signed to Bryan Leach who has a proven track record who knows how to sell records and South artist, so it was really Bryan who won me over and J Records is really the big dog who will put out the album when it’s done.

24: You were featured on Joe Hound new single “My Chopper” along with Dre on the hook which is a extremely good look for you with the video and song buzzing in the streets can you talk about that a little?
C-Ride: That’s my brother’s right there. They are my brothers for life and Joe Hound was making a funk and I slid in and threw 16 bars on that, but you can do stuff like that when you brothers because we do that all day long.

24: I remember when I interviewed you before you were traveling with Dre. What are some of the things you have learned from that experience on the road?
C-Ride: I learned that people have to like you more then you music and you have to build good relationships with people because this industry has a lot to do with business more then talent. So being on the road with Dre taught me how to build good relationships with people and making them like you.

24: What would you say contributed to your success so far in your career?
C-Ride: I would say Dade County, all of the DJ’s that has been supporting me and all of my mixtapes. The first mixtape I did I handed them out for free, so I would also say the fans man and word of mouth. People can’t stop word of mouth, remember that.

24: A lot of new artist get into the game but don’t stay consistent. How will you stay a float in the music industry?
C-Ride: By making timeless music and not music that goes with the current time. I’m making music that you can play five years from now and its feels like it was done yesterday. In my music you feel the words. You just don’t hear the beat and in the lyrics you see what’s going on.

24: You recently put out a mixtape. How has the response been from the people?
C-Ride: That’s going real good. DJ Ideal showed me how to slang mixtapes and I have been doing it since November and it has been doing great. I have been selling them to the stores, Internet, myspace is a wonderful tool.

24: I heard you mention before that you are in the Top 5 artist in the South. So name me your Top 5 in Miami?
C-Ride: Dre, Rick Ross, Dirtbag, Me and I got to say my dog Brisco.

24: What’s next in line for C-Ride?
C-Ride: My single is “Pushinnn.” that’s the JRecords single and my Stash House records single is “Walk Different” featuring Pleasure P (lead singer of Pretty Ricky) so I’m going to start promoting like I never did before. Fuck all that advance shit. I’m not spending shit until I make some money because I was already making money off these CDs, so that really nothing. I’m putting it in the cut.

24: Any Last words?
C-Ride: www.StashHouseMusic.com you can go there and get all of my Cds, DVDs, T-Shirts and if you want to get in contact with me for shows, there is an email address on the website or www.myspace.com/cride0.
