Ced "Young Hollywood" has been involved in music his whole life. He is currently part of Big D's (Trina 'Here We Go', Trick Daddy 'Let's Go', Pretty Ricky) Production team cooking up hits. Still, at a young age, this up and coming producer is sure to make some noise in the future.

24: How long have you been doing music?

Hollywood: For about 20 years now.

24: How did you get involved in it?

Hollywood: Just coming up in music. My father was a disc jockey at a radio station. I used to just grab his records and listen to him. That’s how I got into music.

24: How direction did you start off, as a DJ or just producer?

Hollywood: I wanted to do it all. I love music so much that I wanted to be an entertainer but I didn’t have talent to sing or write, so I wanted to look deeper and see how they put the music together. That’s how I got into production.

24: What songs have you produced?

Hollywood: I worked on Jacki-O’s album. I got like 3 songs on her album. I did a song on Mike Jones’ album. That’s pretty much it. Then I bumped into Bigg D and me and him are doing some stuff together.

24: What are you guys working on now?

Hollywood: We got a few things coming out. We got the new 8ball & MJG new single. That’s something I worked on with him. We got a couple of artists that are coming out on Universal. It’s a lot of stuff we doing. I know the streets have heard what Bigg D is doing and you know I’m part of his team, so I’m involved in it too.

24: Who else have you worked with in the past?

Hollywood: I was mainly working with Poe Boy for some years, when they first jumped off. I was doing some engineering and production for them. Helping them develop their artist and stuff like that.

24: What happened with that?

Hollywood: We’re still cool. As far as business goes, I wanted to go in another direction.

24: Where do you see yourself going in the future?

Hollywood: Hopefully I can have this huge production team that can takeover Florida. Have a team that is unstoppable. Everybody gotta fuck with. I want to be involved in some type of unity that Florida can represent.

24: How do you feel about the whole Movement that is going on right now?

Hollywood: I love it. I love it. I just want to be a part of it.

24: Who are you looking forward to working with in the future?

Hollywood: Somebody big like Jay-Z or Nas.

24: How about artists from Miami?

Hollywood: I’ve worked with just about everybody from here. I’ve done stuff with Rick Ross before. I’ve worked with Deuce Poppi before. I’ve done some engineering for Trick [Daddy] before. Jacki-O. A little bit with Dirtbag. I’ve pretty much worked with everybody here. Everybody that I haven’t worked with, I would love to work with because I’m that type of dude.

24: With your father being in the position that he was in at the radio station, did that help you make contacts with artists?

Hollywood: It inspired me because I got a chance to meet people I wouldn’t normally, like stars and shit like that. It made me want to push forward with my music. But I wanted to show him that I can do it on my own and not feed off of him. That’s why on the grind everyday and pretty much learnt this shit on my own. He helped me out when I needed it.

24: What songs can we look forward to?

Hollywood: Look out for the 8ball & MJG single. We got some stuff on Teedra Moses album, like 4 or 5 songs. Peety Pablo. We got stuff with Jody Breeze.

24: Is there anything you want to promote?

Hollywood: Just holla at me if you need a dope engineer.

24: How can people contact you?

Hollywood: I got a myspace page. It’s www.myspace.com/ced305. Just email me through myspace to get in contact with me.
