24: What should the fans expect form your new album “Hate It Or Love It”?
Chingy: Man, they should just expect some great music. With this album I got to talk about more reality subjects and I know the fans are used to me making girl or party songs. I have that on the album also but I made this one more versatile then my priors like “They Don’t Know” ft. Anthony Hamilton and “Lovely Ladies” where I show appreciation to all the women across the world.
24: Why did you choose to name this album “Hate It Or Love It”?
Chingy: Well I gave it that name because this is my fourth album and I felt like it’s either you hate me or you love me at this point along with my DTP reunion.
24: As far as production who were some producers you worked with?
Chingy: I didn’t really work with too much big names on this album. I just wanted the right music. I worked with Cool & Dre, Basement Beats, KL, LT Moe and others.
24: If you had to choose a favorite song or a song that meant the most from your album, which would it be?
Chingy: It would have to be the two songs I mentioned earlier “Lovely Ladies” and “They Don’t Know” ft. Anthony Hamilton.
24: Your first single “Fly Like Me” features Amerie, so tell me how did that collaboration come about?
Chingy: Actually, when I did the song I was looking for someone to be on the hook and we were brain storming, I like to work with people that are hot but may not be hot at the moment like on my last album with Tyreese and Amerie fit perfectly.
24: What made you get back together with DTP and put your differences aside with Ludacris and Shaka Zulu?
Chingy: It’s family man. It was a very big misunderstanding and miscommunication on all parts. I ran into them in Vegas at a Hotel and we talked, went to the club after and here we are today!
24: Now that you are back with DTP/Def Jam will you still be working on a group album because I know you were apart of the Get It Boyz?
Chingy: Get It Boyz was a crew out of St.Louis but I was going to use that name and come out with a rap group using that same name and I had a failing out with some of the artist I was working with so I’m still looking for artist to start another group.
24: When you decide to step away from music what do you want the fans to say about you?
Chingy: I just want them to say that I made good music and was a great artist and I was able to enjoy myself to his music!
24: Before we get out of here is their any last words you want to say?
Chingy: The album Dec.18, I will be on the road so look out for when I’m in your city!
