CORNA BOYZ: PRODUCERS FROM THE A
24: Go through some of your music resume and let the people that are not familiar with you get up to speed with your work? Tyrrell Bing: Were Atlanta based producers and were responsible for the last three Jagged Edge albums, as well as the new album dropping Oct.25 "Baby Making Project". A lot of people might know us from doing songs with Marques Houston, Omarion, B5, Britney Spears to name a few. When some people think of Corna Boyz they think of R&B but we do Hip Hop as well, we broke Usher single for his move soundtrack "In The Mix" with a song from his artist Rico Love and a single with his group One Chance. 24: Which artist did you sell your first beat too? Tyrrell Bing: Our very first placement was with Jagged Edge and the song was called "This Goes Out" that was our first record. 24: What separates the Corna Boyz from other production teams? Tyrrell Bing: In my opinion the biggest thing that separates us is our diversity, we do rap, gospel, rock and we actually have a pending deal at Warner for our artist. People know us for R&B and artist request us because they know that they are going to get great vocal production as well as a great song. Our songwriting and producing formula has already proved itself and we have not worked with an artist that was unsatisfied with the results. For example, I remember working with Ciara when she was signed to Arista and we worked with her we gave her the best vocal performance out of every song she has recorded anyone and she admits that, she actually called us in for "1,2 Step" and "Wanna Move" from Diddy’s Press Play album. 24: What are some of the things that you think contributed to your success so far in your career? Tyrrell Bing: Our hard work and perseverance, making music when we were broke and having to share one pack of Oodles & Noodles! I feel like in this business you have to take your bumps the same way you take you achievements and awards. We are based in Atlanta were they are some of the best producers in the world in my opinion because even before the Hip Hop movement began Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, La Face Records, La Reid those cats were here, so when you come and start from the ground up I fell like it boost you to that next level. We had 300 to 400 records done before we even sold one! It’s like playing ball in Rucker Park where you average dude is going to be above average anywhere else. 24: Tell me a song that you guys have produced that you are most proud of to date? Tyrrell Bing: I definitely think at this point were most proud of the records we did with Omarion and Marques Houston because even for Marques no disrespect to him but he had never had an urban record until the record we produced "All Because Of You" the record was real up-tempo but the lyrics were still romantic and I think it changed his swagger from there on in. Also some of our most exciting work that were really proud of hasn’t even been released as yet. I think our biggest record to date will be heard on Usher new album.
24: Who are some of the artist you guys have been working with lately? Tyrrell Bing: Were in the studio with Usher, were in the studio with Sammie a lot of people are sleeping on him but I’m telling you his project is crazy. Were like the first producers to really lock in with him and I think he’s the next Usher in my opinion. Also a new artist that’s on Warner name Tanisha Kelly and we just did a record for Britney Spears, Ray Lavender the record is called "Ass On Her". 24: Who is an artist that you have not worked with yet but you think you can make some great music with? Tyrrell Bing: Brandy! Even though she does not have a deal and I am not sure where her project is but I think it would be a perfect match. So Brandy if you get a chance to read this you need to get us because I fell like for what she does and what we do…Perfect! I feel like she has made timeless music and I think it would give us the perfect recognition because she has worked with JD, Timbaland, The Neptunes, and Rodney Jerkins who all of I respect but I feel she has not got what Corna Boyz has to offer which is actually something that I feel like those particular individuals missed. 24: What’s the future looking like for the Corna Boyz? Tyrrell Bing: Sunshine right now, were working hard man we just did 9 out of 14 records for Tanisha Kelly album the first single is called "I Wish You Love Me" and we just did a remix to that record with Sammie and its probably one of the best duets since Wanya & Brandy the people can check that out on itunes. I really think our next faze is working with our two artist that we have and were also looking for any talented Rap groups, solo artist, R&B, gospel, Rock, were definitely opening our doors for new talent. Also our future is basically going from going after projects to working maybe 5, 6 projects a year, big projects following the same formula of Jam & Lewis when they come out they come out! 24: Any last words? Tyrrell Bing: Keep supporting Corna Boyz music and thank for all of the support so far look out for our artist Kashus (WWW.MYSPACE.COM/KASHUS305) he is from Dade County, Miami and keep supporting the music.
