JIM JONES: LOVE ME NO MORE
24: I want to start out this interview by saying congrats on your new situation, you deserve it but do you feel like people just started paying attention to you from "Ballin"? Jim Jones: Nah, because I've been selling records from my first group album with Dipset which did 1 million to my first solo album on Koch which sold over 200,000. I do think a couple of people thought they ain't have to take me serious until "Ballin" cause the cell ring way more ya dig! 24: Let's talk about your deal and does it get in your way of your deal with Koch in anyway? Jim Jones: I'm still over at Koch we still do business together; they let me do the deal with Sony. It's a 50/50 throwback joint Venture deal! They don't do those no more but I still will put out albums for Koch like "Harlem's American Gangster", they get money for doing nothing really but its all good. 24: On your new single you went in a different direction for those who may have been expecting "Ballin Pt.2"? Jim Jones: I do music at the end of the day, I do shit that I feel and can relate to. I felt like talking about money last year and "Ballin" came out of that this year they saying they don't love me so that's what came out, I hear the whispers about Jim this Jim that, No Jim getting money! 24: Can we expect to see the video soon? Jim Jones: Yeah, Rage and myself just finished that up so we need that #1 on 106& Park early. 24:When was the last time you and Cam'ron spoke? Jim Jones: All family go through they shit and we going through ours, it's simple and at the end of the day Diplomats is still the company! I saw him at the bank, we were both taking money out. 24: What will 2008 bring Jim Jones? Jim Jones: More money, a couple more cars, I got the clothing thing popping off right now. I got some more business moves I'm working on my album of course coming on Sony, and Koch so 08 looking good. 24: Did you think your last album would be so successful? Jim Jones: I knew I had put together some good music with Max and that the people could only respect it. I ain't come out with no gimmick I just did music and did me. I feel like when you do that good things will happen. 24: Do you think the fans will be able to hear another Dipset album with all the members? Jim Jones: Yeah, once the money is right and the music is right, it's getting done but right now everyone is doing their solo thing and we winning big! 24: What's next for Jim Jones? Jim Jones: Everyone is caught up with Harlem's Street life whether it's in music or film. So I wanted to show the streets how a real Harlem dude get down and I'm giving them "Harlem's American Gangster" it should be in stores by time you run this.
