Music is without a doubt an essential part of our everyday lives. The people behind the scenes working to release such masterpieces to a world waiting, anticipating for the arrival of new material, new sound, provide such dedication and diligence in placing it in the right hands to be pushed into the world of awaiting listeners. However, in the independent world, sometimes those right hands may be hard to reach; those same hands may not even be open. There has always been a gap between the independent world and the industry, the producers and the artists spend most of their time struggling just to obtain an open ear. The talent that the independent world possesses has always been either overlooked or not looked upon with more diligence.

The Industry’s best kept secret is finally out.
This is an exclusive online interview with PMPWorldwide.com that you will only find on 24hourhiphop.com.
24: First and foremost how is everyone doing?
PMP Representative: Everyone is doing great, on the grind, the usual, we love being busy.
24: Can you explain the history of PMP Worldwide, where did the vision come from?
PMP Representative: PMP is the brainchild of 3 childhood friends- Conrad Dimanche, Ainsley Nichols, and Anthony Marchante. The vision came from experience all three guys had in the industry: Conrad – head of A&R at Bad Boy Entertainment, Ainsley and Anthony are founders of IndustrySoundbank.com. Knowing that the lack of diversity (in artists) and new original sound are the two main problems currently facing the music industry these three partners got together to open the gates to allow artists and labels to interface on a level playing field.
24: When was the official launch date of both the company and the website?
PMP Representative: The Company launched in September of 2006 and went officially live on May 1, 2007
24: Who were the original three that comprised the idea and made it into what we see today?
PMP Representative: Ainsley Nichols, Anthony Marchante, and Conrad Dimanche. All three are veterans in the Industry.
24: Describe the general idea of PMP Worldwide and what you can provide to the industry and the producer.
PMP Representative: www.pmpworldwide.com is an internet music production portal that has the potential to influence the fledgling music industry. They connect talent with labels, and labels with talent; basically anyone trying to make music has the chance to do so now. PMP provides an arena for music producers and buyers to interface and seek out information on each-others’ respected services. Most importantly, producers can access a regularly updated and searchable database of artists from all pop genres, industry specialties, locations and track length. Whether a producer is seeking out an artist, or an artist is seeking out a producer, the PMP provides vast access to new talent. 50 Cent, The Game, Diddy, Jay-Z, and more than 500 producers are already on board.
24: Can you explain the sign up process and the steps a new member must go through to start selling his product?
PMP Representative: For the producers they have to register an account with the PMP which includes a $50.00 monthly fee to maintain their presence on the site. Once that's done they can proceed with loading their pictures, bio, and music, then sit back and begin receiving offers for their tracks immediately. To listen to the tracks on the producer page, the buyer (whether independent company or individual) can register a Buyer account at no charge. PMP does not take a percentage or involves itself in any deals that are made between the producer and the buyer.
24: Besides independent artists and producers, does your company consist of any major industry heavyweights as far as members on the site? Can you namedrop a few?
PMP Representative: Yes, we have representatives from such labels as Interscope, Def Jam, J Records, Bad Boy, Atlantic, and Shady, just to name a few. They have corporate accounts on the PMP and utilize the site as part of their strategy in finding quality production for their artist's album projects.

24: Since the launch of the PMP, the website and the company, have there been any other companies and/or websites that have even come close to your unique idea, if so, what would you say sets you aside of them, sort of makes you stand out in front?
PMP Representative: First off, thanks for the compliment, we appreciate that. Since the beginning of the Internet there has always been web sites where you can buy and sell beats but the whole concept of an official "marketplace," where buyers can find production at the highest level sanctioned by the participation of platinum producers as well as built in functionality such as the Track Dump. There hasn’t been such an idea put in place until the formation of the PMP. As far as competition since we've launched, I would say not really because many focus on the submission of music to major projects while our concept is based around an open-air marketplace with submitting tracks on a side bar to the main event, which is the individual producer himself and the music he's putting out.
24: And since the launch date, how many members are under PMP currently?
PMP Representative: We have over 500 active producers as well as several thousand registered buyers.
24: Would you say you've reached that worldwide status so far, i.e. Europe, Asia, and the Caribbean?
PMP Representative: According to current available statistics, more than half of our total traffic to the site originates outside of the U.S. We're definitely beginning to penetrate on a global scale but by no means have we reached our long range goals.
24: Where do you see PMP Worldwide in 5 years?
PMP Representative: As online technology levels the playing field in the music business across the world, the PMP brand will be the definitive online destination for quality music.
24: So would you say that PMP Worldwide has become a household name?
PMP Representative: No not yet because the PMP is still relatively new and it takes time to grow an online business organically and at the same time maintain a high level of credibility, but we're definitely on our way.
24: Are there any major plans that you want to add for the potential subscribers to know?
PMP Representative: We've recently expanded into music publishing and video games as far as our Track Dump program is concerned and we're working on a few new ventures that will allow our participants to further interact with the available technology which will address their business needs. Stay tuned!
24: Thank you for taking the time to provide 24hourhiphop.com with this exclusive interview, do you have any last words for the readers and potential subscribers?
PMP Representative: If you’re looking to enter into the game, or if you’re already there and want to find new talent, come check us out. We’re for the people, unbiased, just creating opportunity for the masses to help level the playing field.
