24: How did you end up getting signed to CTE?

Roccett: Just being in the streets, and me and Jeezy knew some of the same people and this is actually before things popped off for him. So when things really took off for him he was on his promo tour and came to LA and linked up with me and ever since then I have been corporate thuggin.

24: What do you feel like you bring to the table as an artist?

Roccett:  Realism, I ain't with none of this fake rap if I speak on something I have done it and been doing it. Hip Hop right now is really a joke every body just make up stuff and rap about it but we gone keep it 100% and make it work!

24: Tell me some of the things your have been working on and promoting like your “Colors” mixtape?

Roccett: I got about 5 mixtapes. “Colors” is just one of my latest, I’m on the USDA album on a song called “Respect The Shield” and I also have my “Corporate America” street album coming out a couple of DVD’s. I’m trying to keep things going.

24: Describe your style because a lot of people when they think of the west coast they think of Snoop, The Game, etc but the reality is they are a lot of more artist with their own style and flow making there own lane?

Roccett: Yeah, I mean I respect both of those dudes and The Game does his thing, he’s really a rapper you feel me. The West Coast does have artist with lyrics using him as an example but I got the streets, I got the ladies and what ever else your looking for I have all of that. I can make records for the clubs or if you want to shoot, trap! We can trap all day you feel me. If you feeling like you having a bad day we can talk about that too, I’m just not in a East Coast lane, West Coast lane, Midwest or Down South Lane I’m in a universal lane.

24: Tell me who are some of your musical influences and who is it that makes you want to step your game up?

Roccett: Jigga, Tupac, Biggie, Snoop, N.W.A., I like Common and a few more but these are some of my biggest influences off the top of my head real quick.

24: Who have you been working with for your up coming album so far?

Roccett: We gone have Jigga on there. Fabolous my man so he gone be on there. Akon and of course my CTE family but I ain't really looking for the features, I’m trying to give my fans me, they know them niggaz already.

24: Is their an artist or producer you really want to do a collaboration with and get on the album?

Roccett: I been working with so many. Jelly Roll, Bay Weezy, The Nasty One, Scott Storch, man its so many people.

24: From your experience so far what advice would you give to an up and coming artist trying to get signed?

Roccett: Grind! Grind! Period grind like there ain't no tomorrow because they might not be. You have to give it your all and this not just in music this is in life general. Anything you want in life you got to grind for because it’s going to be a struggle to get to the top.

24: What’s your next big career move?

Roccett: The album, I’m in the lab right now finishing up the recording so I’m about to give the fans what they need. We about to go hard and go in on them!

24: Is there anything that you want to say to our readers or promote before we get out of here?
