24: How did you end up getting your deal with J.R. Rotem and signing to his label Beluga Heights? Kingston: Through Myspace. I met J.R. on Myspace I had my page up with a couple of songs and my goal was to hit him up at least 3x a day and to see him replay back was amazing to me. 24: Tell me about your new album what producers did you work with on it? Kingston: It’s crazy. I worked with DJ Khaled, DJ Felli Fel, The Runners, DJ Nasty and the rest is J.R. production. 24: What is it like being able to work with one of the hottest producers out right now like J.R. Rotem? Kingston: He’s a talented dude and I’m in a great position and he’s like my older brother. We’re cool with or without music involved. 24: What song on the album means the most to you and why? Kingston: I would say “Prosecutor” because it’s a true story about my family that happened and I actually used that situation as motivation to further my career. 24: What do you feel you bring to the table as an artist? Kingston: I bring something totally new and I think my sound and music is international. 24: I read that Buju Banton was your uncle so can the fans expect you two guys to be doing a song together in the near future? Kingston: Yes, were working on something ASAP. 24: Your first single is “Beautiful Girls” produced by J.R. Rotem, did you shoot a video for that yet? Kingston: We are in the process of doing that right now so the fans can look out for that soon. 24: Your song “Colors” featuring Rick Ross and The Game has been making a lot of noise, so how come you didn’t choose it as your first single? Kingston: That single was for the streets more then anything. I don’t think it would have been a good first single because I wanted something that can be played any where and liked by everyone. 24: A lot of times when artist come out at a young age they get put in a box and not judge by their music so how will you silence that misconception that age limits someone musical? Kingston: I think the album will do the talking by itself, it will show that music is music period.
