24:  What’s going on with Swizz Beatz?

Swizz Beatz: It’s always work man. I don’t leave the studio sometimes and I’ve been in this game since my teens.

24: With your last album “One Man Band Man” do you feel like the numbers sales did not tell the story about the album?

Swizz Beatz: Hell yeah! I think it should of did extremely better and not because it was my album. If another artist would have came with the singles I had and the work I did on the production side I would say the same thing.

24: Do you think that today’s market had a lot to do with it or the label marketing plan and promotion?

Swizz Beatz: I don’t want to sound like those artists’ out there that blames the label for low sales, I did a solid album worth picking up and the numbers wasn’t right. I tore down New York Summer Jam stage with Wayne, I had substance on my album as well as party songs like “Money In The Bank,” “Top Down,” and “Its Me Snitches” so at the end of the day the fans respected the music and I’m happy.

24: I can respect that, but it seems like Cassidy got the same treatment when he also had at a hit record that did not go as far as it should of?

Swizz Beatz: If you can say that, then you know something is wrong because you don’t work at J Records and you thought the record was bigger then they made it become. We even did a remix to “Drink N 2 Step” with Kanye West and Ne-Yo and people will be reading this like I never heard of this till now.

24: What’s next for you because I know that Drag-On is back with you?

Swizz Beatz: Yeah, we got a new joint we put out there to heat up the streets called “Hard Knocks” you need for the people on the site.

24: 2007 was a good year for you so what will 2008 bring yourself and Full Surface?

Swizz Beatz: I’m always trying to come with that new shit since day one with Ruff Ryders and working with Eve, LOX, DMX, Drag-On, to Mariah, Jay-Z. I’m Swizz Beatz The Monster for a reason dog this shit is what I do. 2008 is going to answer any doubters questions, not sure why though, I sold over 100 Million records to date period!

24: Switching topics I know you also like to collect things and a lot of people may not know that about you?

Swizz Beatz: I believe its another way for me to invest my money as well so I got a lot of rare things from cars to paintings, etc.

24: A couple of exotic car dealerships too…

Swizz Beatz: Opening up a couple more this year got some in Vegas at the moment.

24: When you were first starting out in the game did you think you would be able to purchase Madonna’s home?

Swizz Beatz: No, but it goes to show you what hard work does when you put your all into something because I’m living proof!

24: Any final words you want to get out?

Swizz Beatz: Drag, that next thing to come out the Full Surface camp look out for that and Eve album. I got production on everyone album so stay tuned. Get at me on the myspace if that’s your thing www.myspace.com/swizzbeatz.
