THREE 6 MAFIA: LAST 2 WALK
24: What should the fans expect from your new album "Last 2 Walk" when it hits the record stores? Juicy J: They should expect the same old Three 6 Mafia, those same slam jam, get high, party records. 24: What was the hold up with the album because I actually thought after your single "Doe Boy Fresh" and your reality show that the album would drop? DJ Paul: We wanted to work some more on the album and make sure we had enough hot singles. We didn’t want to just have that one record. Now we think we got about 5-6 records that could be singles. Juicy J: An we also was doing a lot of work for the “HollyHood” reality show so we made some songs during the show but like Paul said we wanted to make sure we had the right songs for the fans. We want to give the fans the best music because we’ll never just throw something out there you know. 24: You guys are known for having some of the best collaborations on your albums so who did you get together with on this album? DJ Paul: Good Charlotte, 8Ball &
MJG, Akon, DJ Unk, Lyfe Jennings a lot of people man. 24: If each of you had to choose a favorite song from the album or one that meant the most to you which would it be and why? DJ Paul: I’d probably go with, “HoodStar” or either “A Mile Away”. Juicy J: It’s a song on their called “We Blow Pills”.
24: After your last album being such a success along with "Adventures In HollyHood" and winning an Oscar what should everyone look out for in 2008 from Three 6 Mafia? Juicy J: I think they should look for the same thing we’ve been doing the same original music the same original beats. I think the fans are looking for the same thing they been listening too. A lot of times I think that when you got some thing good and it aint broke you don’t fix it. 24: Will there be a Season 2 of "Adventures In HollyHood"? Juicy J: Nah, were not doing the Season 2 because right now were on the road promoting this album. DJ Paul: Working on other artist album like Project Pat, Lil Whyte, we got a artist name Young D, Frazier Boy and we just finished up all of their albums in like the last few months so we just been in the studio 24 hours. 24: You both inspire so many artist in the game and up and coming so I wanted to know who inspires Three 6 Mafia? Juicy J: A lot of the old school cat’s like LL Cool J. DJ Paul: Eric B & Rakim, Public Enemy. Juicy J: Ghetto Boyz, we come from that Rob Bass and DJ Easy Rock era. You know what I mean coming up in the 80’s and were still here today. 24: Years from now when you guys decide to step away from the Mic what do you want the fans to say Three 6 Mafia brought to the Music world? Juicy J: Legendary guys and hardworking hustling people man, you know a lot of times when you look at somebody if you know them personally we want people to say that those guys were great hustlers. When the ship was sinking they patched the ship up and they made sure it kept going on and made sure the music was the same and kept the trend going! DJ Paul: We brought an Oscar to Hip Hop! 24: Any last words you want to say to the readers? DJ Paul: Just check out the website its www.tripplesix.com.
